Production engineering development of thin wall steel casting

Abstract To make cast steel parts with differing wall thickness, a new casting method which uses an iron pipe was used, in which defects peculiar to steel casting have bee suppressed, and mass production with shorter cycles was made possible. Table 2 shows a comparison of process properties between this method and the conventional steel casting method.
