Using the restriction of the q-integral over [a,b] to a finite sum and q-integral of Riemann-type, we establish new integral inequalities of q-Chebyshev type, q-Gruss type, q-Hermite-Hadamard type and Cauchy-Buniakowsky type. Some inequalities which include the boundaries of functions are also indicated.

This paper presents the factors, performance, and indicators of occupational safety, as well as a method to select and rank occupational safety indicators based on the expert evaluation method and the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (fuzzy AHP). A case study is done on road construction companies in Serbia. The key safety performance indicators for the road construction industry are identified and ranked according to the results of a survey that included experts who assessed occupational safety risks in these companies. The case study confirmed that organisational factors have a dominant effect on the quality of the occupational health and safety management system in Serbian road construction companies.

Increasing the effectiveness of occupational safety increases the safety of an organization as its important performance. Safety performance indicators measure changes in the level of safety (related to accident prevention, preparedness and response) over time, which result from the actions taken to reduce appropriate risks. This paper presents the characteristics of basic types of safety indicators, the structure of safety factors, performances and indicators, as well as the multi-criteria decision analysis process and methods in safety management systems.

We consider the recurrent radial basis function network as a model of nonlinear dynamic system. On-line parameter and structure adaptation is unified under the framework of extended Kalman filter. The ability of adaptive system to deal with high observation noise, and the generalization ability of the resulting RRBF network are demonstrated in nonlinear system identification.

Abstract We consider the Shannon–Khinchin axiomatic systems for the characterization of generalized entropies such as the Sharma–Mittal and Frank–Daffertshofer entropies. We provide the generalization of the Shannon–Khinchin axioms and give the corresponding uniqueness theorem. The previous attempts at such axiomatizations are also discussed.

We consider the orthogonality of rational functions W n ( s ) as the Laplace transform images of a set of orthoexponential functions, obtained from the Jacobi polynomials, and as the Laplace transform images of the Laguerre polynomials. We prove that the orthogonality of the Jacobi and the Laguerre polynomials is induced by the orthogonality of the functions W n ( s ). Thus we have shown that the orthogonality relations of the Jacobi and Laguerre polynomials are equivalent to the orthogonality of rational functions which are essentially the images of the classical orthogonal polynomials under the Laplace transform.

In this paper we consider the axiomatic characterization of information and certainty measures in a unified way. We present the general axiomatic system which captures the common properties of a large number of the measures previously considered by numerous authors. We provide the corresponding characterization theorems and define a new generalized measure called the Inforcer, which is the quasi-linear mean of the function associated with the event probability following the general composition law. In particular, we pay attention to the polynomial composition and the corresponding polynomially composable Inforcer measure. The most common measures appearing in literature can be obtained by specific choice of parameters appearing in our generic measure and they are listed in tables.

The starting point of this paper are the Mittag-Leffler polynomials investigated in details by Bateman (1940) in [4]. Based on generalized integer powers of real numbers and deformed exponential functions, we introduce deformed Mittag-Leffler polynomials defined by the appropriate generating function. We investigate their recurrence relations, hypergeometric representation and orthogonality. Since they have all zeros on the imaginary axes, we also consider real polynomials with real zeros associated to them.

In the recent development in various disciplines of physics, it is noted the need for including the deformed versions of the exponential functions. In last two decades, the Tsallis and Kaniadakis versions have found a lot of applications. In this paper, we consider the deformations which have two purposes. First, we introduce them like beginning of a more general mathematical approach where the Tsallis and Kaniadakis exponential functions are the special cases. Then, we wish to pay attention to the mathematical community that they have a lot of interesting properties from mathematical point of view and possibilities in applications. Really, we will show the differential and difference properties of our deformations which are important for the formation and explanation of continuous and discrete models of numerous phenomena.
