After 80 years since the construction of its core, represented today by the central city area, Londrina, in the state of Parana, appears as a new city, but with features and trends of planning policies that reproduce the bad examples of cities. With an urban settlement in frank expansion, north and south growth of the city add land speculation and urban voids in the interstices that outline a city far from ideal, as conceived in its beginning. With a metropolitan atmosphere and at the same time countryside aspects, Londrina is a brand of exclusive occupation policy-driven and real estate interests, a fact that has impacted the livelihood of the population and generated environmental impacts for all social classes. This research discusses the kind of occupation in Londrina, characterized by the phenomenon of sprawl and its relation to the mode of expansion observed and the implications of intensive use of cars. The choice of car use in Londrina has been growing and generated bottlenecks in traffic. As a consequence there is the constant expropriation of property for widening of roads and at the same time, the presence of various densities and urban voids forming an uneven urban space and hindering an efficient urban planning.

GEOPROCESSAMENTO APLICADO A ESTUDOS DO CAMINHO DE PEABIRU

Ana Paula Colavite; Mirian Vizintim Fernandes Barros

Abstract: This paper presents the application of the Geoprocessing tools in the study and demarcation of the Peabiru’s Path in the state of Parana and its use tourism through the creation of the pilgrimage routes in Mesorregiao Geografica Centro-Ocidental Paranaense. The Peabiru’s Path is a pre-Columbian route that crossed the Parana state and has been crucial in building the current state territory. This study uses computational techniques and Geoprocessing to reset through old maps the route of Camino de Peabiru on the current political map of Parana. Based on this survey and research in the field, with aid from the GPS receiver, routes are drawn to the development of local tourism. Key words: Geoprocessing, GIS, GPS, Peabiru’s Path, Rural Tourism.

MACROZONEAMENTO: CONVERGÊNCIAS CONCEITUAIS E DISTINÇÕES NECESSÁRIAS

Maurício Polidoro; Mirian Vizintim Fernandes Barros

The paper aims to present a conceptual discussion of the macrozoning instrument, dealing with its history and discussion in the fields of environmental and urban studies. We believe it is necessary to distinguish the use of the term to enable the implementation of the proposals generated from its construction. To do so, we will discuss the formulation of the Master Plan of Venda Nova do Imigrante / ES and how the macrozoning instrument in the municipality may contribute to the implementation of urban policies more reliable with the local reality.

ZONEAMENTO GEOGRÁFICO DOS GEOCOMPLEXOS DA BACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DO RIO TIBAGI/PR (geographic zoning of the tibagi river basin geocomplexes)

Abstract Objectifying to consider changes of the natural resources use of the Tibagi river basin, this study it searched to tread a new target for the territory occupation. Based in the geossistemic methodology and having in the relief its central axle searched an analysis integrated of the physical, partner-economic and biotics systems that transform the environment. The data raised through the diagnosis had been detailed and systemize through geoprocessing tools. Surveys of field for validation of the information rose in secondary sources and for knowledge of the study area, in special had been carried through the relief forms.
