The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of meteorological factors on the quality of ?Pinot Noir? grapes in two wine-growing regions in Serbia: Sumadia-Great Morava (locality Radmilovac ? Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade) and Banat (locality Vrsac ? ?Vrsac Vineyards?) in the period 2009-2011. Based on the climate conditions recorded in the multi-annual period (1982-2011), which were the comparison basis for the investigation years, climatic characteristics of the studied sites were determined. There were differences among the meteorological factors in the regions (air temperature, average start and end of the growing season, length of growing season and precipitation). The mechanical properties of bunch and berry (bunch length, width and mass, berry and stem mass), and quality properties of grapes (sugar content, total acid content in the must, total phenol content and antioxidant activity), were analyzed for vines from both wine-growing regions. These indicators of climate elements for different growing regions resulted in the production and qualitative characteristics of ?Pinot Noir? grapes.

Generation of short gravity wave noise often occurs on semi-staggered rectangular grids as a result of sub-grid decoupling when there is a strong forcing in the mass field. In this study a numerical scheme has been proposed to prevent the generation of the gravity wave decoupling. The proposed numerical method provides efficient communication between decoupled gravity wave finite-difference solutions by a simple averaging of a term in the height tendency in the continuity equation. The proposed method is tested using a shallow water sink model developed for the purpose of this study. It has been demonstrated that this method outperforms other existing approaches. The new scheme is time efficient, based on explicit time integration and can be easily implemented. The proposed method is applicable in hydrodynamic models specified on semi-staggered B or E grids.

Detection of a Possible Source of Air Pollution Using a Combination of Measurements and Inverse Modelling

Borivoj Rajkovic; Zoran Grsic; Mirjam Vujadinovic

Detection of a possible source of air pollution as a combination of measurements and inverse modelling based on Bayesian statistics has been proposed. The simplicity of the approach and its numerical efficiency qualifies it for the problem, especially in the operational mode.
