Earth's curvature and visibility between two points

In this study, the Earths curvature is analyzed from numerous aspects as well as the visibility between two points on the Earths surface. It also describes the way and the size of the Earths part which can be approximated in the plane depending on the graphical precision and the scale of topographic maps. It equally considers the possibility of visibility between two points on the Earths surface depending on the relief shapes and the curvature of the Earths surface applying both classical methods and sophisticated solutions.

Military topographic maps

The article shows the military topographic maps in Serbia and Montenegro. Also, it gives the overview and development of topographic-cartographic systems of some countries in the world. One of the goals that Partnership for Peace has set, concerning cartography, is the making of new military topographic map. .

Identifying and eliminating deformations of geographic maps

The article deals with the analysis of deformations of geographic map contents and the procedure of eliminating deformations. Geographic maps are used for visualizing and studying geospatial data and for identifying metric features. For that reason the accuracy analyses are very important as well as the elimination of all possible deformations of the maps.
