The technological progress which is observed nowadays, especially in informatics and telematics, let mankind to develop new, up-to-date technology solutions which can be used in many areas including logistics. The article presents current and future possibilities of applying hi-tech constructions in logistics security, transportation or coping with results of disasters. Hi-tech robots and devices “armed” in artificial intelligence can not only support human activities. Smart machines can even replace a human factor in the most dangerous activities. Telematic solutions can support driving vehicles, manage and lead trucks convoys or trains, automatically react to situations on the roads. Sophisticated instruments may be equipped now with a wide range of detectors. Other robots stuffed with movement indicators, recognition equipment, and a code identifier can automatically run depots, load and unload cargo vehicles or protect storage areas. In the paper the authors present transfer opportunities of technologies developed for military purposes for logistics use.

Abstract This paper presents the results of studies based on the analysis of field exercises organized for the purpose of disinfection of preventive sub-units regrouping from the areas threatened with endemic infectious diseases. The research also concerns the analysis of the possibility of conducting the liquidation of contamination in the conditions of access to the local infrastructure with the use of chemical weapons equipment and cooperation with the non-military system: police, fire brigade, emergency medical services and municipal guards. The method of preparation of the ozone chamber in field conditions is also presented

Abstract The paper presents an analysis of the threats that one can face in the cyberspace and dangers affect the safety of a state and its citizens. The authors compare definitions of terrorism, particularly focusing on issues related to cyber terrorism. They explain concepts associated to terrorist activities in the network-centric environment. Next, the evolution of the threats awaiting in the Internet has been presented. Moreover, classification of cyber-attacks and current dangers that may occur in ICT systems has been analysed.

Abstract The paper presents the impact of the reliable ICT systems on efficient and safe functioning of a state. Moreover risks which faced communication and information systems have been presented. Furthermore authors proposed their own solutions that may improve the level of security of transmitted information. Then they indicated ICT systems that can be used for providing continuous and flawless exchange of information, with particular emphasis on the need of protection of information from unauthorized access, modification or destruction. Also some suggestions have been proposed for the modernization of IT systems, which could improve the secure dataflow and ensure continuous exchange of information between the components responsible for the security of the state.

Contemporary world faces a rapid growth in the area of trade in goods, which increases the demand for safe and fast transportation of commodities. On one side the network of transport routes proliferates, but on the other hand they become more crowded, more dangerous, also distances of goods transport surge. Telematic innovations can be one of the solutions, which could increase the transport safety and reduce the costs of commodities supply. Telematics can back up the human element in the processes of transport management as well as it can influence directly the security of executors of logistic tasks related to the transport process.
