Abstract A regioselective acylation of 2′-deoxypyrimidine nucleosides by an acid anhydride in a dry polar aprotic solvent is catalyzed by a lipase from Pseudomonas fluorescenbce.

Regioselective deprotection of 3′,5′-O-acylated pyrimidine nucleosides by lipase and esterase

Abstract A lipase was found to catalyze the regioselective hydrolysis at the secondary hydroxyl group of 2′-deoxy-3′,5′-di-O-hexanoyl pyrimidine nuclosides, whereas a protease catalyzes that at the primary hydroxyl group.

Abstract A practical synthesis of 3′-O-benzyl-2′-deoxy-5-trifluoromethyluridine was established which involves a selective 3′-O-benzylation of 2′-deoxy-5′-O-trityl-5-iodouridine followed by a cross-coupling with trifluoromethylcopper.
