ランタン,セリウムおよびネオジムのタンニン酸による沈殿の完全沈殿pH範囲を求めた結果,いずれもpH6.4~10.8の範囲で定量的に沈殿する.また微量のセリウムはタンニン酸によって呈色し,420mμに極大吸収があり,1.8~10.6γ/mlのセリウムを定量することができ,ランタン,ネオジムと共存するセリウムの定量をおこなった.

タンニン酸による銅属(Cu2+,Ag+,Au3+)およびスズ属(As3+,Sn2+,Sb3+およびBi3+)の沈殿の完全沈殿pH範囲を求めた結果,Cu2+ pH4.5~10.6,Ag+ pH8.0~9.3,Au3+ pH4.2~9.5,クエン酸を加えたものはCu2+ pH8.0~10.6,Ag+ pH7.6~9.2,Au3+ pH4.4~9.5の範囲で定量的に沈殿する.またAs3+はPH7.0~8.2,Sn2+ pH1.7~9.4,Sb3+ pH2.5~9.8,Bi3+pH>4.8で完全沈殿し,これらの沈殿pH範囲の差を利用し,Sn-BiはpH>11.4,Sb-BiはpH>11.6,As-BiはpH4.5~5.0,pH>9.5,As-SbはpH3.0~5.0,9.2~9.8,As-SnはpH1.8~4.8,9.2~9.6の範囲でそれぞれ分離定量することができる.
