For the system of two parafermionic degrees of freedom, we obtain the partition function which is very compact. It exhibits pair mode behaviour, the total excitation number of three modes corresponding to the energies E1, E2 and E1 + E2 being not more than the order p. We compare it with those of para-Bose systems which also show similar pair mode behaviour.

Para boson-fermion supersymmetry is exemplified in simple oscillator systems. The parasupercharge satisfies the ordinary supersymmetry algebra. The parabosonic and parafermionic oscillators do not commute and the energy spectra are non-trivial for even the one level system. We calculate the partition functions and compare with those for the non-supersymmetric systems.

The high transverse momentum pion and jet productions in proton-proton collisions are investigated based on the large and small fire-balls presented by the analyses of cosmic ray experiments. Using the hypothesis of the large fire-ball decaying into pions via the small fire-balls we can show satisfactory fits to the ISR data on the two pion correlations and jet structures, as well as the inclusive one pion cross sections, for PT-:::;6 Ge V /c.

Inclusive two-particle correlations in the central region are investigated in the framework of production and decay of H-quantum, the fire ball with the average constant mass and decay multiplicity. We assume an independent emission of Hcquantum with the distribution localized at the rapidities specified by the velocity quantization hypothesis. The multiperipheral emission is corresponding to the limiting case that the distribution is flat and the maximum number of H-quanta is infinity. We show that the characteristic feature of the velocity quantized and independent emission is the negative short range correlation between H-quanta. As a result, the average charged decay multiplicity (k.)~ is quite consistent with the inclusive two-particle correlations observed at NAL and ISR, while the multiperipheral emission, where there is no correlation between H-quanta, leads to (k,)-;;2.7.
