Application du critère de Hill dans la modélisation par éléments finis des glissements de terrain de la région de Constantine (Algérie)

Brahim Lafifi; Félix Darve; Mohamed Salah Nouaouria; Mohamed Guenfoud

ABSTRACT Some landslides types are not clearly explained within the framework of the traditianal methods of analysis and instability modelling. It is the case of landslides occuring on slopes that are not too steep and difficult to be modeled using traditional method. Therefore, new approches are necessary to take into account these particular failure modes. For this reason, we use the Hills criterion which is based on the sign of the second order work. The Hills criterion can efficiently allow a finer instability analysis in both local and global levels. This approach is incorporated in the finite element code (Plaxis). The importance of this approach is amphasized by its use in the modelling of real problems such as the landslide of Ciloc in Constantine city in Algeria. The slope stability analysis is allowed us to investigate potentially instable areas.

Modélisation du comportement non linéaire des structures en béton armé

Salah Khalfallah; Abdelhamid Charif; Mohamed Guenfoud

ABSTRACT A contribution of bi-dimensional finite elements analysis of non-linear behavior of reinforced concrete structures under monotonic loading is presented. The non-linearity material is characterized by several phenomena such as materials non-linearity of concrete and steel, the behavior of cracked concrete and the interaction effect between materials by “tension-stiffening” effect and shear transfer by cracks. These parameters are taken into consideration to elaborate a finite element program for the analysis of the non-linear behavior of structures to investigate the response of RC beams. The numerical results obtained with used models, elastoplastic and damaged elastic, are in a very good agreement with the available experimental data.
