The output gain of the adaptive fuzzy controller (AFC), it is considerate as a fuzzy variable. This gain is adapted as a function of the voltage error and its variation. The comparative at PI controller study, shows that the adaptive fuzzy controller can be enhance the performances the DC voltage control at various operating.Experimental results validate the design methodology. Active power filter (APF) performance is entirely dependent on capacitor voltage. DC voltage optimization is one of the key aspects in harmonics compensation. This paper presents an experimental comparative study of new adaptive fuzzy controller (AFC) and proportional integral (PI) regulator, applied to regulate the DC bus voltage of three phase shunt APF. The proposed AFC for APF, consist to adapt the output gain of this controller at every situation of the system as a function of the voltage error and its variation. The algorithm used to identify the reference currents is based on the Self Tuning Filter (STF). The firing pulses of the insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) inverter are generated using a hysteresis current controller; which is implemented on an analog card. Finally, the above study, under steady state and transient conditions, is illustrated with signal-flow graphs and corresponding analysis. This study was verified by experimental tests on hardware prototype based on dSPACE-1104.

An integral sliding mode controller with super-twisting algorithm for direct power control of wind generator based on a doubly fed induction generator

F. Z. Tria; Kamel Srairi; Mohamed Toufik Benchouia; Mohamed Benbouzid

In order to reduce the chattering phenomena in the conventional sliding mode control, which appears mostly in the rotor currents, the integral sliding mode controller using the super-twisting algorithm is proposed. In this controller, the sliding surfaces are chosen so that they will be compatible with the errors in the stator active and reactive powers. The simulation results obtained when using a three blades wind turbine based a doubly fed induction generator; show the robustness of the proposed control model. The minimization of the chattering such as in the direct and the quadrature component of the rotor currents, which represents in the reducing of total harmonics distortion of the rotor currents and equal, to 3.82 and 3.54, resulting from the application of the integral sliding mode controller with sign function and with super-twisting algorithm respectively.

Resolver based vector control implementation of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine using a dspase

Hayette Mesloub; Mohamed Toufik Benchouia; Amar Golea; Mohamed El Hachemi Benbouzid

This paper presents a simulation and a practical implementation for resolver based-vector control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) using a dSPACE-1104. The rotor position is necessary to achieve the vector control drive system of the PMSM. In this paper, the resolver sensor detecting the rotor position of PMSM is focused. Resolver is the one of position sensors that can measure the initial rotor position at standstill. The resolver algorithm is proposed and implemented in the vector control drive system of PMSM. The proposed scheme has been verified by both simulation and experiment using MATLAB/Simulink and the dSP1104 based digital controller, respectively. Simulations and experimental results well demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

dSPACE based Adaptive Fuzzy Controller of DC bus voltage for three-phase power filter

Mohamed Toufik Benchouia; Tidjani Mahni; Amar Golea; Kamel Srairi; Mohamed Benbouzid

In this paper, new Adaptive Fuzzy Controller (AFC) of the DC bus voltage of three phase shunt active (APF) power filter is presented. The proposed adaptive fuzzy controller for APF, consist to adapt the output gain of this controller at every situation of the system as a function of the voltage error and its variation. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the designed active filter, associated with AFC and its capability improves the power quality by reducing the total harmonic distortion of the supply current.
