ZigBee, Wibree, Z-Wave, and RuBee are four protocol standards for short range wireless communications with low power consumption. From an application point of view, ZigBee is designed for reliable wirelessly networked monitoring and control networks, RuBee is proposed for high security applications and use in harsh environment, Wibree considered for sports and healthcare while Z-Wave is planned for residential control systems. In this paper, after an overview of the mentioned four short-range wireless protocols, we attempt to make a preliminary comparison of them and then specifically study their radio frequency, data coding, security etc. At last we have compared different protocols capabilities in high density network.

An effective e-government platform provides greater access to government services among citizens, businesses, and tourists. However, most e-government portals are not integrated as each government agency has its own portal. This may cause confusion and becomes a cumbersome task among stakeholders. This paper proposes a one-stop e-government architecture that integrates one-stop portal, e-government service application, and e-government service provider. The architecture provides seamless interoperability of e-government services among different government agencies. This work exploits various Web technologies and service oriented architecture approaches such as Web portal, portlet, service component architecture, Web services, and BPEL. Finally, this work presents the proof-of-concept of the proposed architecture and a case study in an e-government service environment.

This paper proposes flexible security protocol for synchronous and asynchronous collaborative editing environment. The flexible security protocol comprises of preventive and corrective measures. The preventive measures ensure user authentication, access control and data confidentiality. The corrective measure includes fault tolerant measures to ensure data integrity.

An effective e-government platform provides greater access to government services among citizens, businesses, and tourists. However, most e-government portals lack in integration and interoperability. This problem causes each government agency has its own portal. It prevents to provide services in a single access point. This paper proposes a one-stop e-government architecture that integrates one-stop portal, e-government service application, and e-government service provider. The architecture provides seamless integration and interoperability of e-government services among different government agencies using hybrid distributed e-government architecture. Finally, this work presents the proof-of-concept of the proposed architecture and a prototype case study in the Malaysian One-Stop E-government (MyOneEG) system as a case study.

Text data sorting is used in many fields and plays an important role in defining the overall speed and performance. For example, text sort is used in finance to update stock market data. Text data processing consumes huge amounts of memory for storage and computation purposes. Hence we propose a technique to sort huge text data which combines the Radix sort algorithm and the Bucket sort algorithm to obtain a scalable, parallel, and efficient sorting method which can be applied on multiple Graphic Processor Unit (GPU) cards. The basic idea is to divide the text data into multiple buckets and then sort individual buckets in different GPUs in parallel eventually merging the sorted bucket into a final sorted result. On individual GPUs, we will implement Radix sort which will convert text (ASCII) into integers and perform sorting using this algorithm.

In the mobility environment, the interoperability between IPv4 and IPv6 networks is required due to the incompatibility that occurred in the headers of both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. It is probable that a Mobile Node (MN) moves out of its home agents domain towards a different IP domain IPv4/IPv6. This paper proposes a new scheme for mobile nodes that are connected with the home agent which is basically located behind Network Address Translation (NAT) to allow roaming of the MN throughout the IPv6 domains. MN would be able to communicate with its home agent despite its roaming throughout the IPv6 domain. Therefore, the proposed scheme is based on Teredo tunnel that allows clients behind NAT to utilize and get IPv6 services.
