Public Private Partnership in India: An Overview

Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in the all round development of India has been widely recognised and gaining ground in the recent past. As the public sector alone cannot meet the growing challenges of fast development by making huge investments in a variety of development fields and provide economic and efficient delivery of quality goods and services to the community, therefore, the need of PPP has emerged and felt. This article focuses on the concept and components of PPP, physical infrastructure development initiatives, constraints and suggestions for improving the PPPs.

Higher Education in India—Some Problems

N 0 thinking person can be reconciled to the existing health of college and university education in India, particularly in the field of general education. Higher education all over the globe is under intense pressure from changing values and demands, and is being exposed to the same critical treatment as is the fate of various established social institutions. The Indian scene, however, exhibits certain special characteristics which may not be exclusive to it but nowhere else are they so sharp and gargantuan in proportions.
