Trabalho versus aposentadoria: desvendando sentidos e significados

The contributions of leaching, litter-fall, and insect defoliation to the removal of cesium-134 from 15-year-old stem-labelled red pine Pinus resinosa Ait. trees were compared over one growing season. Leaching accounted for about 67 per cent and 99 per cent of the removal of cesium-134 from defoliated and control trees, respectively. Defoliation contributed 32 per cent of the removal in defoliated trees, while litter-fall contributed less than 1 per cent in all trees. Defoliated trees lost about 29 per cent of the initial inoculum, while the control trees lost between 16 and 20 per cent. Defoliation did not affect the rate of decline of foliar radionuclide concentration. Defoliated trees simply produced less new growth of the same radionuclide concentration. The data suggest that one of the major contributions of defoliation to the removal of nutrients in areas of high summer precipitation may be an increase in the leaching of nutrients from damaged foliage. The results support the theory that defoliation can be a major pathway of nutrient removal from terrestrial vegetation.

Bem-estar na aposentadoria: o que isto significa para os servidores públicos federais?

This study analyzed the perceptions of federal civil servant towards their retirement well-being, and how they were preparing themselves for this transition. Its aim was to contribute to a better understanding of their retirement process, as well as subsidizing public policies and retirement preparation programs. This study was performed at the University of Vicosa , state of Minas Gerias, Brazil, and the sample consisted of academic and technical-administrative staff. Data collection was carried out between August, 2010 and February, 2011, using semi-structured interviews. The analysis of the significance of retirement well-being was based on the discourse analysis model established by Patrick Charaudeau. The results suggested that the factors perceived as essential for retirement well-being were health and financial security, both linked to risk factors and survival. The factors considered positive in relation to retirement well-being were: education, family relationships, health and involvement in cultural and leisure activities. Negative aspects in the transition process were a lack of post-retirement work perspectives, of financial security, of prior knowledge of retirement process and possible loss of workplace friendships, all foreseeing possible transitional difficulties. The results emphasized the importance of including family in the retirement preparation program as supported by previous research. It is also evident that there is a lack of retirement preparation program by participants of this research. In conclusion, knowledge of the key factors that contribute to retirement well-being for each professional segment can lead to a higher adhesion to the Programs and consequently overall well-being for individuals and their families.

Estigma e Prestígio nos Discursos de Promoção do Consumo em Brechós / Stigma and Prestige in Discourses to Promote Consumption in Thrift Stores

Neste artigo analisamos os discursos que promovem o consumo em brechos, fenomeno em ascensao, mediante um contexto predominantemente orientado pela moda e o desejo pelo novo. Para alem de uma reflexao que simplesmente opoe as duas praticas, buscamos problematizar o potencial investimento politico e ideologico nos discursos de uma reportagem do Portal Tudo BH e das descricoes institucionais da loja virtual Brecho Online . Para tanto, adotamos a vertente de analise de discurso critica de Norman Fairclough. Contraria a nocao de polarizacao, a analise apontou que o consumo nos brechos possui relacao proxima com a moda, e que o apelo sustentavel nao se revela protagonista nos discursos. O processo de reconstrucao da imagem e percepcao sobre os brechos possui vies de classe e encerra em privilegio para um segmento especifico, alem de inibir uma problematizacao mais abrangente e inclusiva. ABSTRACT This article analyses the discourses that promote the crescent phenomenon of consumption in thrift stores, in a context with predominantly orientation to fashion and the desire for the new. More than simply oppose the two practices, we seek to problematize the political and ideological potential investment in the discourses of report on the Portal Tudo BH and the institutional descriptions of the virtual store Brecho Online . For this, we adopted Norman Faircloughs critical discourse analysis. Contrary to the notion of polarization, the analysis pointed that the consumption in the thrift stores is intimately related to fashion and that the sustainable appeal is not a protagonist on the discourse. The process of image reconstruction and perception about the thrift stores has class bias and holds the privilege for a specific segment, in addition to inhibiting a more comprehensive and inclusive problematization. Análise comparativa da argumentação no discurso prévio à campanha eleitoral de Aécio Neves e Dilma Rousseff

Resumo: No contexto atual, o discurso politico volta-se para a busca de uma troca social visando a demonstracao da capacidade do politico de dizer e fazer. Para isso, o politico engaja-se num projeto de construcao da imagem de si, e nota-se um grande trabalho por parte dele para fazer reconhecer-se socialmente por meio de um ethos de honestidade e de credibilidade relacionado ao empreendedorismo, ao trabalho e ao sucesso. Com o intuito de realizar um estudo comparativo da argumentacao e da busca pelo ethos nos discursos previos a campanha eleitoral de Aecio Neves e de Dilma Rousseff no ano de 2014, esta pesquisa propoe compreender como a imagem de si mesmo se projeta no discurso politico durante o processo de enunciacao e permite a coconstrucao de uma identidade por meio do discurso. Este artigo se baseia na Teoria Semiolinguistica de Charaudeau (2004, 2005, 2006, 2012a, 2012b) por meio dos Modos de Organizacao do Discurso e suas concepcoes sobre o discurso politico. Busca-se, dessa maneira, a partir de artigos de Aecio Neves publicados no portal Folha e entrevistas de Dilma Rousseff concedidas ao programa Cafe com a Presidenta, disponiveis on-line, analisar a estruturacao do processo de semiotizacao da linguagem, verificando-se as estrategias adotadas para a constituicao do ethos argumentativo vinculado aos imaginarios sociodiscursivos associados aos futuros candidatos. Este estudo pretende, assim, elucidar algumas questoes que envolvem o discurso politico, como os espacos de estrategias e de restricoes do contrato de comunicacao e os papeis sociais dos participantes dessa forma particular de enunciacao. Abstract: In the present context, the political discourse turns to the search for a social change aimed at demonstrating the politician’s ability to say and do. For this, the politician engages in a project of construction of the image of itself, and noticed a big job to recognize up socially through an ethos of honesty and credibility related to entrepreneurship, work and success. In order to conduct a comparative study of argumentation and the search for ethos in the previous speech to the election campaign Aecio Neves and Dilma Rousseff in 2014, this research aims to understand how the image of himself projects in political discourse during the enunciation process and allows the co-construction of an identity through discourse. This article is based on Semiolinguistics Theory Charaudeau (2004, 2005, 2006, 2012a, 2012b) through the Organization Modes of Discourse and his views on the political discourse. Seeks, in this way, from Aecio Neves articles on the portal Folha and interviews Dilma Rousseff granted Cafe com a Presidenta program, available online, analyze the structure of language semiotization process, checking the strategies adopted to the constitution of the argumentative ethos linked to sociodiscursivos imaginary associated with future candidates. It is intended, therefore, to elucidate some issues involving the political discourse, as the spaces of strategies and communication contract restrictions and social roles of the participants of this particular form of enunciation. Emoção e telenovela: um estudo das estratégias de patemização em o astro

O presente trabalho objetiva descrever e analisar as estrategias de patemizacao em um plot, isto e, em uma trajetoria de acao narrativa, na telenovela O Astro, a partir de 10 sequencias audiovisuais que representam este plot. A novela foi exibida pela Rede Globo entre 12 de julho e 28 de outubro de 2011 no horario das 23 horas. A pesquisa foi realizada a partir do arcabouco teorico-metodologico da Teoria Semiolinguistica (CHARAUDEAU, 1983, 1992, 1995, 2006). Para a analise da patemizacao, estratificamos o objeto de estudo em dois estratos: verbal e visual-filmico. Os resultados evidenciaram que, como estrategia discursiva, a patemizacao toca o plano da captacao: a instância midiatica deseja emocionar o telespectador com o intuito de mante-lo cativo durante a exibicao da telenovela.

Desde 2011, la Red Globo exhibe, generalmente en el segundo semestre y en la banda de horario de las 23 horas, un remake de una telenovela de grande repercusion de decadas anteriores. Ademas de ser un horario diferenciado para el patron de la emisora, las referidas telenovelas poseen otras caracteristicas, como extension mas pequena. El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo describir el genero situacional telenovela desde de uno de sus formatos: la telenovela de las 23h. Para esa descripcion, consideramos los ejemplares exhibidos hasta el ano de 2013: O Astro, exhibida en 2011; Gabriela, exhibida en 2012; y Saramandaia, exhibida en 2013. La perspectiva teorico-metodologica de este trabajo es basada en los postulados de la Teoria Semiolinguistica de Patrick Charaudeau (1983, 1992, 2004) y en el concepto de formato, delimitado por Aronchi de Souza (2004).

Resumo: A poesia brasileira contemporânea recorre ao conceito de tradicao para estabelecer a comunicacao entre tempos e autores diferentes. Ao mesmo tempo, esta inserida na busca pela criacao e pela experiencia – aliada a tradicao e a linguagem – que seus autores emprestam as obras. De modo geral, ela esta num plano de dialogo e de busca que incluem o sujeito e a maneira como ele se coloca diante do mundo. Abstract: Brazilian contemporary poetry appeals to the concept of tradition in order to establish a link between different authors and times. At the same time, it deals with the quest for creation and experience – along with tradition and language – that its authors will imprint to their work. Generally speaking, it is on a platform of dialogue and quest which include the subject and the way the subject poses itself in face of the world. De imediato, que e impossivel haver alguem que a conheca por inteiro. Assim como na decada de 1970 houve uma inflacao de contistas, hoje nao deve haver algum blog e possivelmente nenhuma revista de cultura e poucos suplementos que nao apresentem novos poetas. [...]Resumo: Neste trabalho, procuramos delimitar o modo como a analise do discurso de linha francesa apreende a materialidade discursiva. Para abordar essa questao, o presente artigo encontra-se dividido em tres partes: (i) inicialmente, apontamos como a disciplina da analise do discurso inscreve-se no campo do saber que se constitui no interior de uma certa tradicao francesa em refletir e explicar os textos; (ii) em seguida, (re)lendo o trabalho de Michel Pecheux em tres fases, fazemos uma sintese dos deslocamentos e questionamentos que cercaram o projeto teorico do autor; (iii) por fim, acentuamos as questoes de base para a pratica da analise do discurso que, por sua vez, marcam o modo como concebemos o termo “discurso”. To address this issue, I then divide the paper into three parts: (i) primarily, I point out how the discipline of discourse analysis fits into the field of knowledge that is within a certain French tradition to reflect and explain texts; (ii) then, (re) reading the work of Michel Pecheux in three phases, I summarize some displacements and questions surrounding the authors theoretical project; (iii) in conclusion I highlight some of the basic questions which are important for the practice of French Discourse Analysis; moreover, theses questions show the way I conceive “discourse”. Você está pronto para testar-se?: uma abordagem semiolinguística do gênero teste em Correio Feminino de Clarice Lispector

ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to characterize, based on the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Semiolinguistic Discourse Analysis, the genre Quiz within Clarice Lispectors collection of journalistic texts, Correio Feminino. This approach looks at genres from the viewpoint of its situational, discursive and formal constraints. The results show that the Quiz, in the corpus under analysis, is a media genre intended to question the reader on aspects of his/her personality and behavior, through a series of informational, encouraging and instructional questions. The genre, in its discursive and formal levels, is characterized by the presence of descriptive and enunciative organizational modes, as well as by some impersonal grammatical structures.
