As Web resources and information are becoming numerous, many researchers have studied automated processing of the resources and information. In addition, semantic Web services make the Web services represented to be machine-interpretable through the semantic Web. Semantic Web services discovery systems, such as matchmaker, find proper semantic Web services for a client. However, it is mainly focused on semantic similarities between description instances and requests containing single input and output. In our design, annexed algorithm improves matching algorithm to arrange the result advertisements according to the clients conveniences for executing the Web services; less re-scheduling, less meaningless data. It also offers effective discovery services especially for the request with multiple inputs and outputs and in condition that there are no perfectly matched Web services or available Web services. Moreover, we implement the matching engine in URCSD (semantic Web services discovery for URC) for an intelligent agent, such as URC (ubiquitous robotic companion), through the proposed algorithm. Therefore, we expect the system provides effective discovery services for network based robotics and intelligent agents

The ability to located appropriate services is becoming more important. Current service retrieval technology, however, uses small parts of service capabilities. CMU algorithm, for example, finds services using only hierarchical relationships. This paper describes several capabilities which can be used to locate most appropriate services, uses them, and finally proposes an improved matching algorithm for locating useful services described by OWL-S

SQL-on-Hadoop engines are considered as useful data integration tools for large-scale data. However, they may incur redundant network overhead by redistributing the intermediate results multiple times in the cases where a number of attributes are included in the query result. We propose an optimization method using partial materialization which avoids repetitively redistributing trivial attributes.

This paper introduces the design of hybrid SQL-on-Hadoop system, which supports dual-mode (interactive and deep) analytics. We present an architecture of approximate query processing engine using horizontal and vertical sampling of the original database for interactive big data analytics. A key novelty of our approach is that we can support interactive analytics as well as deep analytics at scale in the unified manner.

This paper proposes the data security technology for the desktop virtualization environment using the separated software execution method. In the virtual environment where allocates separate VMs to the users, there is a benefit that the programs in one guest machine are isolated from the programs running in another guest machine, whereas in the separated execution environment that supports application virtualization, the isolation is not offered and it causes the data security problem because the applications are executed by the one root privilege in the server. To solve this problem, we provides the data security method using the server storage filter, the viewer filter, and the file mapping table in this paper.

To implement the personalized software service platform (YouFree), we use the Ruby on Rails Framework. Ruby on Rails is an excellent Web application development framework, usable for developing fast and agile web applications. It offers a number of integrated technologies and increases the productivity of web application. However, there were some weak points of ActiveRecord on Rails like limitation of find method, lazy loading problem, and so on. In this paper, we qualitatively evaluate the weak points of ActiveRecord. And we optimize the ActiveRecord to implement the YouFree. From these considerations, we can implement the more efficient YouFree system.

This paper describes a method for managing, visualizing and searching personal contents distributed on the desktop and the multiple Web sites. Personal Web server in this system enables users to access their contents from the remote sites, so users need not upload them to the public Web server. We propose unified contents access methods for the various contents from the multiple sources and a visualization method to manage personal contents effectively. With unified contents access methods and the visualization method, all contents are accessible through the same interface and users can use them regardless of contents types or sources. To provide the up-to-date information in the personal contents management system, we implemented the file system/database synchronization engine.

Knowledge modeling with Web ontology language (OWL) is very complicated because OWL is not for human, but for machine. To effectively describe an ontology represented in OWL, we present a novel visualizing and authoring interface in ezOWL. ezOWL is a visual OWL editor that can intuitively construct an ontology. In this paper, we show how to visualize and author ontology intuitively with diagram-based visualizing and authoring techniques
