Long Term Evolution (LTE) network is the latest technology before the presence of Advanced-LTE (LTE-A). LTE is introduced by 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) to improve the mobile phone standard to cope with future technology evolutions and needs. Recently, femtocell which known as Home NodeB (HNB) is the remarkable technology network that implanted in the LTE network in order to fulfill the upcoming demand of high data rates. However, as the User Equipment (UE) is allowed to move freely with different network it causes changed in handover rate and hence, probability of drop call increased. In addition, different speed of UE also affects the number of handover and drop call rate. This paper analyzed on the load balancing scheme based on performance of handover and dropped call rate with different number of UE and different speed of UE. The scheme requests femtocell which deployed into macrocell based on velocity of UE by considering the number of UE. The handover procedure is determined by using simulation based on the number of UE and UE velocity. The simulation results show a significant improvement in term of handover and drop call rates and enhanced better performance of femtocell in LTE network.

Radio resource partitioning is a vital feature that ought to be considered to further enhancing the overall performance of the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system. Radio resources can be allocated in either time domain or frequency domain in OFDMA system. As the emergence recent technologies such as femtocell, which is it underlay the macrocell network, the users fairness of sharing the network resource become the important issue. Therefore this scenario can potentially some users excessive consumes the network resource and it incommode the other users if the network resources are not proper planned. This paper presents the Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR) scheme that can fair partition the radio resource of the macrocell and femtocell networks. The scheme focuses on the analyzing and improving the macrocell users fairness and maximizes the femtocell capacity. The simulation results show that choosing spectrum splitting ratio (SSR) and fraction of radius becomes important since different total capacities and fairness level can be achieved with these two values.

Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a new technology that becomes an important part of everyday life and for the future which is consists of heterogeneous networks. LTE is the new standard recently specified by the Third Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) on the way towards fourth-generation mobile. The deployment of femtocell (HeNB) which act as home base station can give seamless handoff in LTE network. In order to satisfy the seamless handoff in LTE, the femtocell was deployed with the existing networks to act as backhaul connectivity which can fulfill the upcoming demand of high data rate in a wireless communication system and also can extend the coverage area. This research is to analyze the performance of Receive Signal Strength (RSS) between Macrocell/Femtocell when the UE is inside or outside the house. The simulation results show a better performance of using our proposed adaptive RSS in initiating a handoff when the speeds varies.
