This paper studies developing country teakwood production and supply chain under sustainability considerations. Although teak is a renewable resource, it requires long time to be harvested again. Furthermore, teak demand tends to increase from time to time. A teak production and supply chain model is developed to find optimal teak production and distribution that maximizes economical aspect, while maintaining renewable resource preservation and social benefit. Whole stand growth model is used to simulate growth of the planted forest. Linear fuzzy Chance Constrained Model (CCM) optimization is deployed to find the solution and implement uncertainty to production capacity, demand, and prices parameters. Simulation and optimization are recursively conducted for every period of time. The result shows that sustainability in teak industry can be achieved after rotation time.

In the supply chain (SC) of newspapers, the printing company is the main entity that has several processes, i.e. procure raw materials, print plate and newspapers, and also distribute newspaper to consumers. The existing risks in the newspaper printing company are quite high. A wide range of disturbances or risks needs to be identified to map out the characteristics of the risk sources that will impact on the performance of the supply chain. Therefore, the printing companies need to manage their supply chain risk of the five major SC processes (such as plan, source, deliver, make, and return). In a case study of a newspaper company in Surakarta, the company have not implemented a risk management process that affects the company. This study is aimed to map the risks in the printing company and formulate risk mitigation alternatives to mitigate the risks. The house of risk (HOR) method was chosen to select a set of proactive actions deemed cost-effective in managing SC Risks in the newspaper company. The model consisting of two stages, the first stage (HOR1) was done by identifying risk, risk causing agents and then measured the severity and occurrences to calculate the Aggregate Risk Priority (ARP) value. The second stage (HOR2) is intended to formulate and prioritize the action of mitigation that the company should pursue to reduce the probability of risk agents to occur. The result shows that the innovative model of HOR in Newspaper Company was presented. There are 24 risk events, 20 causing agents and two priority risks in HOR1. The HOR 2 was proposed 9 ranks of mitigation strategy for priority risk agents, from the easiest to the hardest strategy for the company to implement it.In the supply chain (SC) of newspapers, the printing company is the main entity that has several processes, i.e. procure raw materials, print plate and newspapers, and also distribute newspaper to consumers. Integration of Poka Yoke and TRIZ is a method of solving problems by using a different approach. Poka Yoke is a trial and error method while TRIZ is using a systematic approach. The main purpose of this technique is to get rid of product defects by preventing or correcting errors as soon as possible. Blame the workers for their mistakes is not the best way, but the work process should be reviewed so that every workers behavior or movement may not cause errors. This study is to demonstrate the importance of using both of these methods in which everyone in the industry needs to improve quality, increase productivity and at the same time reducing production cost.Integration of Poka Yoke and TRIZ is a method of solving problems by using a different approach. Agri-food is very important for human being. Problems in managing agri-food are very complicated. There are many entities involved in managing agri-food with conflict of interest between them makes the problems become more complicated. Using supply chain approaches in agri-food will help solving the problems. The purpose of this paper is to show that the publications in agri-food supply chain research area are still promising and to show the research trend in agri-food supply chain. The study was a bibliometric study by using some queries on the website with the largest database of peer-reviewed literature. The queries were using various categories and refinements. Firstly the study was exploring all publications in this research area in some categories and then divided the duration into 2 intervals. The last query was to know how many publications are review type publications. The results show that the number of the publications with agri-food supply chain topics are still limited, and tend to increase. ...

The main objective of this research is to develop a Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) for the aim of conducting feasibility study in the electrical industries. Regardless of the numerous quantity of researches on feasibility study and related techniques, proposing an integrated approach to combine and unify critical factors of feasibility with analytic approaches is less investigated. To fill this gap, this study was conducted to develop a framework to evaluate the feasibility of industrial project aligned with addressing a FAHP to assist managers for selecting the best alternative. Particularly, 6 key indicators proper for feasibility study of industrial projects were proposed using literature survey. The validity of proposed indicators was accredited using a Nominal Group Technology (NGT). The proposed indicators were used to assist an investment company to evaluate three projects. Finally, a FAHP were used to choose the best choice with the aim of proposed indicators. Therefore, the ranking of industrial projects is the main result of this study.

Automotive industry is become a fast development sector in nowadays. This is causing the rise of the car interior demand that running better physically even mechanically. Even it is a good news, car interior producer should be aware to the environment problem that caused by interior car which made from e-glass or s-glass. One of the way out is using natural fiber composite. The new potential fiber to substitute the synthetic fiber is cantula fiber. In this paper will discuss about value chain analysis of cantula fiber. Based on cantula fiber mapping, there are four actors. They are farmers, cantula fiber industries, cantula fiber derivative product industries, and consumers. Cantula utilization in Indonesia is still on the low classification. Hence, cantula usage to produce the car interior is become a new innovation and increase the value added in that value chain.

Sustainability consideration is very important in decision making related to furniture industry due to its raw material derived fromforestst. Forest has important role for people because it gives benefit in economic, social, and environmental aspects. This paper focuses on developing a simulation model for the furniture industry, especially in supplier-manufacturer relationship model for securing availability of teak log with sustainability consideration. The simulation model is used to overcome the uncertainty and the dynamism of real systems and to generate alternative solutions for helping teak log supplier. A supplier has to evaluate and analyze some alternative decisions related to harvest and/or conserve the teak forest. The decision making become complex, because its related to dynamic forest age classes, dynamic demand, the growth of tree that has natural characteristics, and the uncertainty of illegal logging. The result shows that simulation can help decision maker to increase suppliers profit by considering sustainability.
