The Karaman target of this study is to make clear the habits of the students staying at High Education Credit and Hostels Institution supported by the state and adequancy of the possibilities given by these hostels. Surrounding of the research are consisted of totally 500 students, 254 of whom are female, and 246 of whom are male, are staying at High Education Hostels supported by the state in Karaman. The research is in scanning modal. Firstly, present knowledge is given by means of scanning the literature about the topic sistematically. So, a theoric frame is made about the topic. Secondly, the questionnaire developed to get the target of the research is applied on 500 students, 254 of whom are female, and 246 of whom are male, are staying at High Education Hostels supported by the state in Karaman via random illustration. In data analysis, descriptive statistics were used. Moreover, chi- Square Test is applied and 0,05 (P) possiblitiy is got for 9 questions improved to show the recreation habits and adequancy of the possibilities given by these hostels according to the students’ gender. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) are used in analyzing the data and finding estimated values. In the end of this study; both female and male students declare that they have enough free time for recreative activities, taking place in recreative activities enhances academic success, parties for students should be organized in hostels, plants are not adequate for desired activities and gathering of the students in these hostels. While the female students say that their recreation habits usually change negatively, and participating in the activities become less, but taking place in the activities of the male students become more and more after starting to stay at the hostels. Male students say that they prefer the activities since these activities create a nice environment; yet the female students prefer the activities to be together with their friends. If we make a generalization, it is observed that adequate recreative possibilities are not supported for the students, staff are not aware of the importance recreation and uninterested in the topic and the plants are not enough.
