A New Electromagnetic Helical Coilgun Launcher Design Based on LabVIEW

In this paper, a new helical coil electromagnetic launcher is designed, which launches a magnet projectile without using any mechanical launching equipment, but by applying momentary varying current to the helical coil. For measuring the velocity of the magnet projectile in different stages, a LabVIEW-based software and hardware system is developed, and it is also used for improving the performance of the output velocity of the magnet projectile by changing the ignition time of the coils. This paper distinguished the new accelerator coil design and the software, which uses LabVIEW for the first time in this area. With the LabVIEW-based software, optical sensor data are acquired and processed, and ignition triggering control is carried out. Ignition timings on sequential four helical coils are optimized to produce the maximum acceleration in each coil, and thus the maximum velocity of the magnet projectile at output. An NI Data Acquisition 6010 data acquisition card is used for communication and gathering information throughout the entire launching process. In addition, the effects of changing the current magnitude, ignition time, magnet projectile length, and diameter to the output velocity of magnet projectile are investigated and discussed in detail.

3D Drawing Program Which Processes Sensor Voltage Ratings Instantly From Parallel Port

In this study, it is aimed to form 3D graph of any analog data changing related to its position, in computer environment instantly. For that purpose, a new 3D drawing program which updates itself by getting data instantly from an open txt file is developed. The analog data saved in a txt file is provided by KMZ51 AMR sensor that shows voltage changing according to the size of magnetic flux. That is why, output ends of the sensor are put into the Analog Digital Converter (ADC) which has got 24 bit resolution and the output of ADC is connected to the parallel port of the computer. The command that sends voltage in the sensor to the computer is given by the user via a trigger button connected to the parallel port. Every time the user pushes the button, the voltage value which is measured in the sensor comes to the computer as digital data, later on, the analog equivalent of the digital data is found and it is recorded in a txt file. This newly developed 3D drawing program’s database is constituted by this file. In this paper, developed 3D drawing program’s usage and operation are discussed in detail.

Üstbiliş, Özyeterlilik ve Öğrenme Süreçleri Ölçeğinin Türkçeye Uyarlanma Çalışması: Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi Sonuçları

Bu arastirma Thomas, Anderson ve Nashon (2008) tarafindan ogrencilerin ustbilis, ozyeterlilik ve yapilandirmaci fen ogrenme sureclerini belirlemek amaci ile gelistirilen olcegin Turkceye uyarlanma calismasini icermektedir. Bu kapsamda dilsel esdegerlik, gecerlik ve guvenilirlik calismalari yapilmistir. Olcek dort dilde ogrenim goren 15-18 yas araligindaki 913 ortaogretim ogrencisine uygulanmistir. Verilerin dogrulayici faktor analizi ile degerlendirilmesi sonucunda [ (395, n=913)=1137.10, p<.000; RMSEA=.045; GFI=.92; CFI=.93; NNFI=.92] ozgun olcekteki bes faktorlu yapinin aynen Turkce olcekte de korundugu gorulmustur. Maddeler icin faktor yuk degerleri 0.50 ile 0.73 arasinda degismekte iken madde-toplam puan korelasyonlarinin 0.39 ile 0.65 arasinda yer aldigi gorulmustur. Olcegin tumu icin hesaplanan Cronbach alpha katsayisi ise 0.93’ tur.
