Investigation of the IR spectra of cellobiose and O-deuterated cellobiose at the temperature of liquid helium

Previously [1-6] it was shown that the study of IR spectra of carbohydrates at the temperature of liquid helium makes it possible to obtain new valuable information about the conformational properties and specifics of interand intramolecular interactions of these compounds. As was ascertained [2-5], during cooling of carbohydrates to the temperature of liquid nitrogen and helium, the most significant changes in their spectra occur in the frequency region of stretching and twisting vibrations of hydroxyl groups, the most conformationally mobile ones. For elucidation of the changes due to this factor, it seemed appropriate to compare the spectra of the carbohydrates and their deuterated analogs in the entire investigated spectral range.
