and communication technologies (ICT) are being widely used in healthcare management systems. Rapid advancements in ICT in the last decade or so provide solutions to the problems in healthcare management systems. These include a wide spectrum of issues such as patient safety, dietary management, telemedicine, digital imaging, document management etc. This paper explores the emerging technologies which are being used for the improvement of the healthcare process and identify the problems and their probable solutions specifically in the context of developing countries. Telemedicine offers a way of improving the standard of healthcare especially in the developing world. The developing countries such as Pakistan, can exploit these to give better healthcare services as well health education. This paper highlights the growth of ICT sector in the developing world and explores its possible uses in health sector. These may help healthcare professionals and community health workers to carry out their work in a better way particularly in remote areas.

evolution in information and communication technologies has transformed the information management structure in almost all the organizations. It has had a great impact on healthcare organizations by improving health services and management by integrating technology with the knowledge management infrastructure. The healthcare industry is a knowledge-based community and is connected to hospitals, physicians, patients, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, clinics, pharmacies, and customers for sharing knowledge. A knowledge-based healthcare industry can improve the quality of care and service given to its people and also reduces the administrative cost. The objective of this research is to present and describe the knowledge management capabilities, the technical infrastructure, and the decision support architecture for such a healthcare management system. It envisions a healthcare knowledge management system (HKMS) that would help to integrate important components, disseminate knowledge to the respective users and to store historical data in a database. This will immensely help the managers and developers to identify their IT needs and to plan for and develop the technical infrastructure of the health care management system for their organizations.

This paper presents ontology for temporal and fuzzy information representation in the context of relational database environment. Temporal information has its own semantics and there are approaches to deal with representation of temporal data in different database environments. Temporal data may not be precise or crisp in nature, there is an element of imprecision or vagueness in representing temporal attributes. This paper proposes general model for temporal and fuzzy ontology for building fuzzy-temporal database schema with illustrations.

This paper presents a solution to this problem with the help of genetic algorithm to find the optimal solution for the problem of cricket team selection and formation. Our approach is the combination of the existing quantitative approaches with some new extensions such as attributes regarding personal performances, team performance and the combination of players. Secondly our method is just not specific for cricket team but it is converted to generic model for other multiplayer games. We propose an adaptation of island genetic algorithm to optimize the selection of multiplayer sports team having multiple conflicting constraints with mixed crossover where the fitness of common solution is used to drive the selection.

Change management or configuration management is becoming necessity for every facet of software system development. Traceability of objects i.e. artifacts or information units becomes core talent for authentic determination of the parametric information over the explicit instance of time. This paper presents the evolving and useful concept of traceability management wrapped in change management paradigm that provides perception for requirement analysis phase. We have analyzed the patient data requirements workflow model with respect to the traceability management process. We have proposed a new approach for better traceability of patient data management model (PDMM) for identification and realization of trace relationships within requirements (IRTRR) in healthcare environment. We have named the model as PDMM-IRTRR framework. The key activities represented in the proposed framework are also highlighted.

Dysgraphia, a learning disability associated with writing skills, hinders students to put their thought on paper and write correctly. Writing problems hit students most frequently that one third students become failed to acquire writing skill. Different IT based assistance solutions available for dysgraphia students but most of them are accommodations based or provides writing alternatives rather than developing writing skills of a dysgraphia student. Handwriting is an essential skill for academic life and developed handwriting skill helps student to protect their self-esteem and build student’s confidence to participate in other activities during class. Most of available writing assistance solutions do not provide interesting ways to acquire writing skills. To handle this problem, augmented reality (AR) based dysgraphia assistance solution has presented in this work. This study utilized AR to develop dysgraphia student’s interest in writing and used it to assist in writing activity by providing help in spellings. AR based dysgraphia assistance writing environment (AR-DAWE) modal use Google cloud API of speech-to-text and addressed one of the important issues of dysgraphia student that is associated with spelling mistakes.
