In this paper, we present a real-time method to display ocean surface gravity waves for various computer graphics applications. Starting from a precise surface gravity model in oceanography, we derive its implementation model and our prototype implementation shows more than 50 frames per second on Intel Core2 Duo 2.40GHz PCs. Our major contributions will be the improvement on the expression power of ocean waves and providing more user-controllable parameters for various wave shapes.

by blowing on a microphone which then exert external forces to the mobile. This microphone interface lets users control the mobile while they are watching it through a monitor. We introduce a linear time solution for the constraint dynamics and an improved impulse dynamics to speed up the simulation. Using these techniques, we achieve a real- time simulation of the mobile on personal computers. The techniques presented can easily be extended to simulate other interactive dynamics systems. Stone skipping is an example of rigid-fluid coupling, which typically need much computation. In this paper, we present a real-time method for visually plausible stone skipping simulation. Based on the Newtonian physics, an intuitive dynamics model is presented to simulate the linear and rotational motions of the stone. The real-world stone is substituted by the Wii Remote connected to the host PC. Our implementation shows the real-time simulation of the bouncing process of the virtual stone.

Real world winds can be classified into two categories: natural winds and artificial winds. While previous researchers have focused on natural winds, we also need to simulate artificial winds, which may be generated by electric fans, air conditioners, human mouths, etc. In this paper, we present a mathematical model for artificial winds, and also present an efficient method for calculating the forces applied on the objects under the influence of artificial winds. Our method uses a hardware illumination technique to finally calculate the artificial wind forces, and thus the simulation process is accelerated considerably. Hence our model achieves real-time display of visually plausible motions, and its implementation shows sufficient performance for real-time interactivity. Through combining our method with previous natural wind models, we can also expect to build up an integrated wind simulation system for computer graphics applications.
