Um estudo ecológico sobre as interaçoes da família com o abrigo

This study aimed to investigate interactions between families and shelter institutions, based on the bioecological theoretical model of human development by Urie Bronfenbrenner. The interaction between workers of an institution in the extreme South of Brazil and the family members of a sheltered child were followed during the process of family reinsertion. The professionals showed idealized beliefs and perceptions that prescribe the expectations and life style of traditional nuclear families. The family, in turn, feared the judgments of the institution representatives due to the possibility of losing the guard of their other non-institutionalized children. Therefore, the reports of the family and the institution revealed mistrust between the two contexts, which hinders and postpone the return of children to their original families.O presente estudo teve por objetivo investigar as interacoes entre familias e as instituicoes de abrigo a partir do modelo bioecologico de desenvolvimento humano de Urie Bronfenbrenner. Para tanto, foram acompanhadas as interacoes de funcionarios de uma instituicao do extremo sul do Brasil e a familia de uma crianca institucionalizada durante o processo de reinsercao familiar. Os profissionais revelaram crencas e percepcoes idealizadas que prescrevem as expectativas dos modos de vida da familia nuclear tradicional. Por sua vez, a familia apresentou temores em relacao aos julgamentos dos representantes da instituicao pela possibilidade de perder a guarda dos outros filhos nao-institucionalizados. Portanto, os discursos da familia e da instituicao revelaram interacoes que evidenciam desconfianca entre os dois contextos, o que dificulta e prorroga o retorno das criancas ao ambiente familiar.
