Intelligent Car Control for a Smart Car

Nazmul Hasan; S M Didar-Al Alam; Rezwanul Huq Sikder

From the beginning of the artificial intelligence there was a desire of having a fully automated intelligent car. Numbers of experiments have been done and some of them were very much fruitful. As a result now we have intelligent smart cars. These cars are intelligent and can take some of the decision of their own. But they actually assist the driver for a limited amount of time. None of them are fully automated. We think a fully automated transportation can only be possible by having a combination of intelligent car and traffic system as well the environment like road on which the car actually moves. In this paper we have tried to discuss a new idea for an autonomous transportation systema complete solution.

Background: Despite improvement in risk scoring, there are patients with stable angina identified as low risk who experience CAD events, as well as, patients deemed high risk remained free of CAD events. Invasive coronary angiogram is the gold standard method for assessment of extent and severity of CAD. However, search for additional noninvasive tool that may aid in risk discrimination is going on. Myocardial performance index (MPI) is emerging as one of them. Objective: To assess the relationship between Myocardial Performance Index and severity of coronary artery disease assessed with SYNTAX Score in chronic stable angina. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the department of Cardiology, University Cardiac Centre of BSMMU during the period of January, 2014 to December,2014 among the patients of chronic stable angina undergoing elective coronary angiogram. Total 90 patients were enrolled by random purposive sampling. All the data were recorded in structured questionnaire. Coronary angiogram with SYNTAX scoring was done during index hospital admission. Doppler study was done 1 day prior to CAG to measure MPI. Result: The mean age was found 45.5±26.1 years varied from 36 to 68 years. Male female ratio was 1.9:1. A negative significant correlation (r=-0.792; p=0.001) was found between ejection fraction (EF) and myocardial performance index (MPI). Regarding the association between risk factors with MPI status, the mean MPI was found 0.65±0.10 in diabetes mellitus and 0.57±0.10 in without diabetes mellitus. Mean MPI was significantly higher in diabetes mellitus, others risk factors are not significantly associated with MPI status. Majority (38.9%) patient’s SYNTAX score belonged to 0-22, 28(31.1%) was SYNTAX 23-32 score and 27(30.0%) was SYNTAX ≥33 score. The mean MPI was found 0.51±0.04 in low SYNTAX, 0.61±0.03 in intermediate SYNTAX and 0.74±0.07 in high SYNTAX score. The mean MPI was significantly (p<0.05) elevated with increased SYNTAX score. A positive significant correlation (r=0.985; p=0.001) was found between MPI with SYNTAXscore. Higher value of SYNTAX score (>22) had a 2.29 times increase (95%CI 0.16 to 33.70%) in odds of having CAD. A subject with diabetes mellitus had 1.52 times increase (95%CI 2.02 to 21.54%) in odds having CAD. Others factors are not significantly associated with CAD in Multiple regression models. Conclusion: The MPI value measured by Doppler is a cheap, radiation free, available noninvasive method and may be considered as an additional risk stratification tool beyond other investigations.

Attenuated Phosphorus and Sodium Sulfate in Diabetes Mediated Vasculitis Treatment: 3 Case Studies

Nazmul Hasan; Shabbir Ahmed; Ali; Emrul Kayes; Hasan; Sheak Habib

Vasculitis, a combination of disorders which affects and disrupts the blood vessels due to inflammation and abnormal immune system, may be predisposed to increased glucose in blood circulation commonly observed in a skin surface of extremities in other parts of the body as well. Multiple drugs have been introduced but unfortunately, the available treatments have several limitations including failure to control the inflammation, preventing multiple system involvements and various side effects, moreover, the complex condition may arise with increased glucose, thus, treatment with these medicines is not satisfactory. The current study involves three patients with different degrees of severity of cutaneous vasculitis have been treated conventionally with the lack Case Report Hasan et al.; IJMPCR, 9(4): 1-6, 2017; Article no.IJMPCR.35515 2 of response. Combinatorial application of attenuated phosphorus and sodium sulfate engenders rapid remission from the further inflammation and eventually found curing the patients with no evidence of side effects. This alternative mode of treatment may provide a better insight to cure vasculitis efficiently. Thus, extensive study is required to explore the detailed mechanisms of the treatment with these attenuated medicines.

Replantation of Knocked out Teeth after Traumatic Avulsion

Shirin Sultana Chowdhury; Nazmul Hasan; Rumana Afroz

Management of permanent tooth avulsion often challenging for dental practitioner, as avulsion resulting complete exfoliation of tooth from its socket, is usually associated with damage to the supporting struct ures. Managing the edentulous area to improve aesthetics, phonetics, function is better achieved by replanting the avulsed tooth rather than prosthesis. This article report a case avulsed tooth management of 12 - year - old - girl due to accidental knocked out o f both central incisors. Immediate after injuries patient report to the emergency department over phone and asked to collect and keep the avulsed tooth sinking into milk. Patient was managed by dentist within 60 minutes of the accident and have follow - up b y radiologically and clinically 1 year post accident. Replantation of tooth immediate after avulsion can be managed by replantation into its socket.
