Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Web Ortamında Bilgi Arama ve Yorumlama Stratejileri İle Epistemolojik İnançları Arasındaki İlişki

Bu arastirmada universite ogrencilerinin web ortaminda bilgi arama ve yorumlama stratejileri ile epistemolojik inanclari arasindaki iliskinin incelenmesi amaclanmistir. Bu amaca uygun olarak arastirma, iliskisel tarama modeline gore yurutulmustur. Arastirmanin calisma grubunu, 2013-2014 Ogretim Yili Guz doneminde Kocaeli Universitesinin farkli bolumlerinde ogrenim goren 370 ogrenci olusturmaktadir. Arastirma sonucunda ogrencilerin web ortaminda bilgi arama ve yorumlama stratejileri ile epistemolojik inanclarinin yuksege yakin duzeyde oldugu belirlenmistir. Ogrenmenin gosterilen cabaya bagli olduguna inanan ogrenciler farkli kaynaklari sorgulayan ve bilgiyi organize eden stratejileri kullandiklari, ogrenmenin yetenege bagli olduguna inanlarin teknik ve gorsel ozellik strajilerini kullandiklari ve tek bir dogrunun var olduguna inananlarin resmi ve uzman sitelerden sorgulama yaptiklarina iliskin istatistiksel yonden anlamli bir iliski gorulmustur. Ayrica, ogrencilerin ogrenmenin cabaya bagli olduguna iliskin inanclariyla gelismis bilgi arama-yorumlama stratejileri arasinda ve ogrencilerin ogrenmenin yetenege bagli olduguna ve tek bir dogrunun var olduguna iliskin inanclariyla basit bilgi arama-yorumlama stratejileri arasinda pozitif orta duzeyde anlamli bir iliski oldugu gorulmektedir.

Assessing the School Principals Applying Inclusive Education

Abstract The purpose of the present study was to assess knowledge levels of school principals about inclusive education at primary schools. For the research, the survey model was applied. The research consisted of 47 school principals employed at 47 primary schools using inclusive education under Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education. According to the study, it was stated that the school principals employed at primary schools with inclusive education did not have sufficient information about inclusion and they did need further information. They did not get any information before inclusive education and did not have enough preparations for the inclusion, they did not get any aid and support in inclusion applications, there were not any special education teachers in inclusive primary schools, inclusive students did not get sufficient supportive educational services, teachers did not sufficiently apply individualised education programs and, therefore, they faced a lack of education materials.

Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Web Ortamında Bilgi Arama-Yorumlama Stratejilerinin Demografik Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi

Millions of people all over the world use the internet so as to communicate or search a topic to get information today. There are several sources about any topic on the internet. Even though there are some misleading ones, there are perfect ones, as well. Therefore, what is important about this issue is to determine whether this electronically acquired information is reliable, true and of high quality or not. If it is, to what extent it is reliable? The purpose of this research is to determine whether information searching and commitment strategies of university students vary according to demographic variables. Quantity method was used in the research, and relational scanning model was preferred among all scanning models. 370 students at Education Faculty, Science and Literature faculty and Engineering faculty of Kocaeli University were included in this research. The questionnaire of information searching and commitment strategies on the internet developed by Wu and Tsai (2005) was used in the research. At the end of the research, it was observed that university students use developed strategies more than others. The highest grade about the strategies of information searching and commitment goes to the statement: ‘ I can combine the information that I collect from various web sites, whenever I need to get information.’ It can be expressed that university students have the necessary ability to compare the information from different web sites and combine it so as to reach the accurate and reliable information. Anova was used to determine whether the strategies of searching and commitment of information vary according to the frequency of daily internet use. No significant difference was observed, though.

VAROLUŞÇU OKUL YÖNETİCİSİ DEĞERLENDİRME ENVANTERİ

Okul yoneticilerinin sorumluluklari altinda olan ogrenci ve ogretmenlerinin yaraticiliklarini on plana cikaracak bir yonetim modeli gelistirmeleri gerekmektedir. Bunun icin okul yoneticilerinin ogrencilerin ve ogretmenlerin ozgur birey olmasi sorumlulugunu ne derece yerine getirdigi kritik bir onem tasimaktadir. Bu calismanin amaci, okul yoneticilerinin varoluscu dusunce cercevesinde degerlendirilmesini saglayacak bir olcme aracini gelistirmektir. Bu amacla gelistirilen Varoluscu Okul Yoneticisi Degerlendirme Olcegi’ni olusturan 25 madde ve 3 faktorun istenen niteliklere sahip olmasi ve yapilan acimlayici ve dogrulayici faktor analizleri sonucunda gecerliliginin ve guvenirliliginin yuksek olmasi kullanilabilecegini gostermektedir.

A Study on the Validity and Reliability of the University Placement Exam Success Scale

Abstract This paper aims to provide a scale in order to determine teachers’ perspective on the LYS success. A 45-item scale was developed as a result of literature review. In order to check the validity and reliability, the scale was applied to 638 high school teachers working in 36 public schools in Kocaeli. In this paper we show that the LYS-success scale can be used due to its high validity and reliability assured through confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis and due to the fact that components, 12 item and 4 factors, forming the LYS-success scale have desired qualifications. LYS about the success of students, parents and administrators in the area will contribute to the development of scales.
