A review of the Theronia genus-group (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) from Vietnam with descriptions of five new species

The Vietnamese fauna of the Theronia genus-group of the ichneumonid tribe Pimplini is reviewed for the first time. Five genera are found in the country: Augerella, Epitheronia, Nomosphecia, Parema and Theronia. Epitheronia and Nomosphecia are recorded for the first time from Vietnam. Five species are described as new: Epitheronia vinhanensis sp. nov., Nomosphecia carinicurvata sp. nov., Theronia ferruginaterga sp. nov., T. longihastata sp. nov., and T. tahuythinhi sp. nov. Four species are newly recorded from the country: Nomosphecia scutellata (Gupta), N. zebroides (Krieger), Theronia clathrata Krieger and T. maskeliyae Cameron. Theronia (Augerella) orientalis Gupta is synonymized under Augerella brevicauda (Cushman) (syn. nov.) which is transferred from Nomosphecia (comb. nov.); Theronia (Nomosphecia) zebroides indicus (Gupta) is synonymized under the nominate subspecies, Nomosphecia zebroides (Krieger) (syn. nov.). A review of the genus Triancyra Baltazar (Ichneumonidae: Rhyssinae) from Vietnam, with descriptions of three new species

The genus Triancyra Baltazar, 1961 and two species, viz. Triancyra aurea Wang Hu, 1992 and Triancyra graptothoracalis Wang Huang, 1992, are reported for the first time from Vietnam. In addition, three species are described as new: Triancyra acuta sp. nov., and Triancyra mystaxa sp. nov. from Dak Lak Province in Central Highlands, and Triancyra cucphuongensis sp. nov. from Ninh Binh Province in northern Vietnam. A key for all five Vietnamese Triancyra is also compiled.

Two new species of the genus Ishigakia (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae, Acaenitinae) from Vietnam based on morphological and molecular evidence

The genus Ishigakia is reported from Vietnam for the first time, and two new species (I. babeensis sp. nov. and I. duongi sp. nov.) are described from Northeast Vietnam using morphological and genetic data. These new species are also inserted in the key to world species of Ishigakia provided by Ito Maeto (2016).

A review of the genus Pimpla Fabricius, 1804 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) from Vietnam with descriptions of two new species

The ichneumonid wasp genus Pimpla Fabricius, 1804 is reviewed for the first time from Vietnam. Two new species are described: Pimpla lexuanhuei sp. nov. from Phu Tho Province and Pimpla chuyansinensis sp. nov. from Dak Lak Province. Five further species are recorded as new for Vietnam: P. bilineata (Cameron), P. cameronii Dalla Torre, P. ereba Cameron, P. flavipalpis Cameron, and P. laothoe Cameron. Pimpla instigator (Fabricius, 1793), a junior synonym of P. rufipes (Miller, 1759), previously recorded from Vietnam, was re-identified as P. laothoe and therefore is excluded from the ichneumonid fauna of Vietnam. A key to all ten species listed in this paper is also compiled.

First record of the genus Brachyzapus Gauld and Dubois (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) from Vietnam, with descriptions of six new species

Based on a recent collection of ichneumonids from Lao Cai Province, at an elevation above 1500 m above sea level, the genus Brachyzapus Gauld and Dubois, 2006 is reported from Vietnam for the first time and six new species are described: B. carinatus sp. nov., B. convexus sp. nov., B. duboisi sp. nov., B. fansipanensis sp. nov., B. hoanglienensis sp. nov. and B. politus sp. nov. Notes on distinguishing characters are provided and the new species are included in a tentative key to 12 species of Brachyzapus. Three species are formally transferred from Zabrachypus to Brachyzapus: B. atripedalis (Sheng, 2001), B. nitidus (Hao and Sheng, 2002) and B. nonareaeidos (Wang, 1997) are new combinations.
