We investigate whether an anisotropic magnetic hysteresis property can be obtained by 3-D numerical analysis. Two ring cores are prepared for the investigation: one is the ring stacked by the same rolling direction of electrical steel sheets, the other is the ring stacked by rotating the rolling direction. First, B-H properties and iron loss characteristics are obtained from actual measurement. Next, a validity of 3-D numerical analysis taking account of magnetic anisotropy and magnetic hysteresis at the same time is evaluated by comparing the experimental results. As a result, the numerical analysis results have the same tendency as the experimental results.

A numerical calculation considering magnetic anisotropy and magnetic hysteresis can indicate B-H properties which have the same tendency as experimental results. These results are obtained from a ring-core test and it is revealed that the actual phenomena considering the magnetic anisotropy can be expressed by the numerical calculation.
