Moving Target Defense (MTD) utilizes granularity, flexibility and elasticity properties of emerging networking technologies in order to continuously change the attack surface. There are many different MTD techniques proposed in the past decade to thwart cyberattacks. Due to the diverse range of different MTD techniques, it is of paramount importance to assess and compare their effectiveness. However, each technique causes distinct (dynamic) changes in the network, making an objective comparison difficult. In this paper, we incorporate MTD techniques into a temporal graph-based graphical security model, and develop a new set of dynamic security metrics to assess and compare their effectiveness. To this end, we first categorize and compare different attack and defense efforts. Second, we describe the temporal graph-based graphical security model to capture dynamic changes made by various MTD techniques in the network. We then develop a new set of security metrics for attack and defense efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of the MTD techniques. We implement two different MTD techniques, namely network topology shuffle and software diversity, and show their effectiveness against a targeted attack scenario in our experimental analysis. The results demonstrate that the proposed dynamic security metrics can capture different properties of MTD techniques, permitting a more fine-grained comparison and offering guidance for selecting the most effective MTD technique.

Visualization of data helps to transform a problem into a perceptual task that is easier to comprehend. It helps users to perceive patterns from large amount of data in order to make informed decisions. When visualization is coupled with interactive techniques, it boosts cognition levels in users, as the users can now directly interact with the data. In this paper, we present some of the popular techniques that are used for enhancing the quality of 2D and 3D visualization models.

The amount of raw data related to electricity companies is increasing rapidly with the increase of construction sites, population and Qatar preparation for 2022 world cup. A question arises from this situation is: How can top level managers keep track of the consumption and plan ahead for the future? The solution is a customized web application that provides an easy way for visualizing the electricity consumption in Qatar. The research aims to help the top-level managers in understanding Qatars consumption data set to take actions and save for future resources using the proposed software. Our goal is to improve the readability of data insights and unlock the ultimate power of data visualization.

Data related to electricity consumption is a global problem, particularly here in Qatar. Thus, a customized tool to analyze this data is made. The aim of this research is to present a new software, which would help the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) to identify trends, patterns and relationships of the consumptions and waste of electricity. Analyzing the electricity consumption would help in finding any abnormal trends. This tool will help in overcoming the challenges of analyzing such data and in gaining a deeper insight into its large and complex data sets. This software will ultimately help managers understand the processes that generated the data, which can be used to improve decision making in their target domain.

Notations develop over time. We propose that they characteristically pass through a series of development stages, starting very simple and becoming more complex, reaching a stage of complexity that hinders their usability: then, often, a new higher-level notation is developed that is once again simple, and will perhaps pass through the same development. Notations develop in this way because the way they are used develops. We propose 5 stages; Iconic, Flowering, Formalising, Support Patchwork, and Rebirth. Examples can be found in the development of various software systems, such as programming languages, CSS, and content-management systems; also in other domains, such as circuit diagrams and music notation.
