The study aimed to determine the relationship of frequency for wall, diagonal and square passing with the performance for men and women team. Eighteen teams (man = 11; woman = 7) involved in this study. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to examine the relationship between frequency of use wall pass, diagonal pass and square pass with team performance. Results of the study showed a significant relationship between the frequency of the use of passes to the achievement of the team in both categories. The significant value of wall pass, diagonal pass and square pass for men and women teams is (p < 0.05). Positive relationship indicated team that use more wall, diagonal and square passing was a successful team in tournament. The findings for this study could be used by trainers and individuals who involved in the player development and coaches education. Keywords: indoor hockey; passing skills; wall pass; diagonal pass; square pass

The aim of this study is to establish the necessary reliability in the notational analysis of sepak takraw. Two performance analysts were recruited to help in the collection of the data. The performances were analyzed based on the main performance indicators relevant to the demand of the game. Cronbach’s alpha and Cohen’s kappa reliability testing was implemented to test the reliability of the information collected. The results for reliability shows [α = 0.91 and K = 0.89 (0.092, 95%), p < 0.05] respectively, which confirmed the reliability of the information collected from the analysis. This paper has revealed that reliability in the notational analysis could be achieved. Performance analysts should ensure the reliability of their analysis before being relayed to the coach.

Uniform arm units are set up to serve as the first line defence and to assist the university members for any emergency that might arise. To discharge their duties effectively, they need to meet up to the requirement of highest physical fitness level. This study aims to examine the physical fitness levels among armed uniform package unit of UniSZA and to investigate the components that distinguish their level of physical fitness. A total of 120 participants within the age range of (±20.45) male and (±20.63) female took part in this study 60 from each group. Standard physical fitness tests were conducted, and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was used to analyse their performance on the physical fitness with the performance of physical fitness as the dependent variable (DV), while the categories of the uniform units as the independent variables (IV). Pairwise Comparison follow-up test was conducted to determine the significant parameters that differentiate the groups. The finding shows that there is a significant difference in the performance of physical fitness tests for both male and female F (20, 98) = 1.68, p

Cardiovascular endurance is considered the most vital aspect of fitness due to its direct impact on human performance. For any uniform arm units to discharge their duties effectively, they need to meet up to the requirement of highest physical fitness level in respective of their body characteristics. This study aims to predict the relationship of physical characteristics and fitness variables on cardiovascular endurance performance among armed uniform package unit of UniSZA. A total of 26 participants within the age range of (±20.45) randomly selected from the three co-arm units of the university took part in this study. Standard physical characteristics measurement and fitness tests were conducted, and multiple linear regression was applied to predict their cardiovascular endurance performance as the dependent variables (DV) on their body characteristics and performance of physical fitness as the independent variable (IV). A significant regression equation was obtained F (9, 16) = 4.97, p 0.05. To improve the cardiovascular performance of uniform arm units, certain physical and fitness variables have to be considered for an effective discharge of their duties.

Background: Archery is a close skill sport in which the archer interacts with body and equipment. The interaction between the archers body and the equipment could influence archery shooting scores. It is vital for an archer to be cognisance with any movements during these interactions process. Objectives: This study investigates the various biomechanical interactions and their association with archery performance. A total of 32 archers drawn from different programmes participated in the study. Materials and Methods: A sum of four shimmer sensors were used to examine, compare and differentiate the postural sway, movement of the bow, muscular activations of the muscle flexor digitorum superficial, muscle extensor digitorum and resting heart rate of the archers. The archers shoot six arrows at a distance of 50 m, and the selected parameters were streamed during the aiming, stance and the releasing phases of the arrows in real time at a sampling rate of 51.2 Hz using an Android phone. Results: Cluster analysis classified the archers into two groups, namely, high-performance archers (HPA) and low-performance archers (LPA). Standard, step-wise backward and step-wise discriminant analysis differentiated the two groups with three and two dependents variables with an acceptable accuracy of 83.38% and 90.63%. Pairwise t-test comparisons revealed that HPA shows higher muscular extensor activations and lower postural sway with greater shooting scores while LPA recorded higher postural sway and corresponding lower shooting scores. Conclusions: Some biological and biomechanical related parameters such as muscle extensor activation and postural sway could determine shooting accuracy in archery sport.
