The holotype of the species Dolichopus sublimbatus Becker, 1917 is redescribed. Illustrations of the hypopygium of this species are given for the first time. A new species, Dolichopus kuznetsovi sp. n., is described from Primorskii Territory. A key to the species of the Dolichopus sublimbatus group is given.

Three new species of the genus Dolichopus Latr. (Diptera, Dolichopodidae) are described. All these species are closely related to Dolichopus signifer Haliday, 1832 and form a species-group including this species. Dolichopus taimyricus sp. n. is described from the southern tundra of the Taimyr Peninsula (northern Central Siberia); D. zlobini sp. n. was collected in the Pamirs (Tajikistan) and D. asymmetricus sp. n., in the mountains of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. A key to all these species of the group is given.

The distribution of the species of Nepalomyia Hollis, 1964 over the principal zoogeographical regions is briefly summarized. A new species, Nepalomyia chalajaesp. n. from the North Caucasus, is described. The replacement name Nepalomyia igorinom. n. is proposed for the homonym Nepalomyia yangi Grootaert, 2013, nec Wang, Yang and Grootaert, 2007. A key to males of the ten Palaearctic species of Nepalomyia is given.

Four new species of Sympycnus Loew, 1857, S. ferganicus sp. nov., S. leleji sp. nov., S. stackelbergi sp. nov. and S. yakutensis sp. nov. from Russia (Yakutia), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are described. Sympycnus convergens Negrobov, 1973 and S. urgaicus Negrobov, 1973 are placed in synonymy with S. changaicus Negrobov (syn. nov.). Lectotype and paralectotypes are designated for Sympycnus simplicipes Becker, 1908. A checklist of the East Palaearctic species of the genus is compiled and a key to males of the 14 species is provided. Five species groups are defined. New data on the distribution of known species are presented. The known distribution of East Palaearctic Sympycnus species is briefly discussed.

Three new species Chrysotus drakei sp. n., Ch. kirejtshuki sp. n., and Ch. shamshevi sp. n. are described from Primorskii Territory. A supplemented description of Chrysotus degener Frey, 1917 is given; this species is recorded for the Palaearctic Region and for Russia for the first time. A key to all the species of the genus Chrysotus from Primorskii Territory, Sakhalin, and the Kuriles is also given.

Morphology of the hypopygium was investigated in 496 species from 128 genera of the family Dolichopodidae. Based on twenty morphological and morphometrical characteristics, a parsimonic dendrogram of the Dolichopodidae subfamilies was constructed. Variance analysis of the morphometrical data allowed revealing diagnostic characteristics for the subfamilies and genera of Dolichopodidae. Such characteristics as the relative lengths of the epandrium, surstylus, cercus, and apical and basoventral epandrial processes can be used for taxonomic diagnostics of the subfamilies and genera.

A description of a female of Dolichopus uniseta Stackelberg, 1929 is given. A key to the species of the III group of the genus Dolichopus Latr., 1796 (the species with mostly yellow femora and yellow postocular setae), based on the female characters, was compiled for the Palaearctic Region. The key includes 37 species for the first time.

Two new species of the genus Dolichopus Latreille (Diptera, Dolichopodidae) are described from Mongolia and Siberia. Dolichopus tschernovi Negrobov, Barkalov et Selivanova, sp. n. is similar to Dolichopus bayaticus Negrobov, 1976, but differs in the presence of one seta on the hind metatarsus, the shorter 3rd antennal segment, and in the structure of the hypopygium. Dolichopus lenensis Negrobov, Barkalov et Selivanova, sp. n. resembles Dolichopus setitarsis Negrobov et Barkalov, 1977, but differs in the slightly widened 2nd–4th segments of the middle tarsus, in the presence of one seta on the hind metatarsus, and in the structure of the hypopygium. Drawings of the antennae, tarsi, and hypopygium of the new species are given. The holotypes of the new species are deposited in the Zoological Institute, the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg).
