Abstract The synthesis and characterisation were described for tetranuclear phosphocavitand complexes 4 , where each phosphorus atom is coordinated to the silver atom, and tetranuclear heterobimetallic phosphocavitand complexes 6 , in which only three phosphorus atoms are coordinated to silver and the fourth phosphorus atom is coordinated to molybdenum. Compounds 4 were obtained by the reaction of AgBr with amidophosphitocavitands 1 . Compounds 6 were synthesised by the reaction of AgBr with mononuclear molybdenum complexes of amidophosphocavitands 3 . It was found that, in the presence of diethylammonium cation, 4a forms anionic complex [(C 2 H 5 ) 2 NH 2 ][cavitand·Ag 4 (μ-Br) 4 (μ 4 -Br)] ( 5 ), whose structure was supported by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Abstract Regioselective phosphorylation of rctt tetranaphthyl resorcinarenes gave monofunctionalized derivatives with eight phosphamide groups immobilized on the macrocyclic matrix, as well as heterofunctionalized derivatives containing hydroxyl groups on the vertically oriented benzene rings and phosphorus fragments on the planar benzene rings. BIMETALLIC COMPLEXES OF PHOSPHOCAVITANDS

V. I. Maslennikova; Svetlana E. Goryukhina; Olga S. Serkova; Edvard E. Nifantiev

Macrocyclic systems containing in a molecule both coordinated and uncoordinated phosphorus atoms have been obtained by selective interaction of phosphocavitandes with hexacarbonyls of group VI metals.1,2 The compounds of such type are a suitable matrix for the design of bimetallic complexes. Using the mononuclear complexes of molybdenum 1 as a substrate and acacRh(CO)2 or AgBr as reagents we have first synthesized the bimetallic derivatives of phosphocavitandes in the molecules of which three phosphorus atoms are coordinated with Rh(I) 2 or Ag(I) 3, and one phosphorus atom—with Mo(0).

Pre-organized oligofunctional ligands based on rctt-C-naphthyl-resorcinarene: Synthesis and complex formation

Valentina V. Glushko; Olga S. Serkova; Gavaz N. Smoyan; Larisa K. Vasyanina; Vera I. Maslennikova

GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT ABSTRACT Synthesis of pre-organized oligofunctional ligands based on ortho-methyl-tetra-C-naphthyl-resorcinarene existing in the chair conformation was carried out. By selective modification derivatives differing in the nature of functional groups immobilized on the horizontal and vertical benzene rings of resorcinarene skeleton were obtained. The abilities of the synthesized compounds to form complexes with d-, f-elements and organic amines were considered.

Reactions of resorcinarene with N,N-dimethylcarbamoyl and N,N-dimethylthiocarbamoyl chlorides. Factors affecting the process performance

V. I. Maslennikova; Anastasia V. Burikhina; Olga S. Serkova; Dmitrii V. Tarasenko; I. I. Levina; Anastasia V. Gorlova

Carbamoylation and thiocarbamoylation of resorcinarenes in the presence of alkali metal carbonates were studied. The effects of the pre-organization of the resorcinarene molecule, the base used, and the nature of the acylating reagent on the reaction outcome were demonstrated. It was shown that octacarbamoylated resorcinarenes in the boat conformation show high absorption properties and selectivity towards cesium cations.
