Abstract According to our study, Glenea indiana and G. galathea commixed by Breuning (1956) includes several species and they are separated into two species group. Four new species of Glenea Newman are described: G. difficilis Lin & Tavakilian n. sp., G. pseudocaninia Lin & Montreuil n. sp., G. pseudoindiana Lin & Yang n. sp., and G. problematica Lin & Yang n. sp. The three following species are reinstated: G. mouhoti Thomson 1865, G. canidia Thomson 1865 and G. caninia Heller 1926. G. travancorana Pic 1943 was considered as junior synonym of G. caninia Heller 1926. Lectotype of G. caninia Heller, lectotype and paralectotype of G. cassandra Gahan are designated. Photographs of habitus and terminalia of nine species are presented and followed by an identification key. The problem regarding subgenera is briefly discussed.

The subfamily Orphninae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) is reviewed from Madagascar. A total of four genera and 39 species were found, all being endemic to the island. The following five new species are described: Triodontus ankarafantsikae, Triodontus lemoulti, Triodontus viettei, Triodontus fairmairei, and Triodontus inexpectatus. The following new synonymies are proposed: Orphnus nigrita Brancsik, 1893 is synonym of Triodontus hova (Fairmaire, 1868); Triodontus occidentalis Paulian, 1977 and Orphnus obsoletus Brancsik, 1893 are synonyms of Triodontus nitidulus (Guérin-Méneville, 1844); Triodontus vadoni Paulian, 1977 and Triodontus perrotorum Paulian, 1977 are synonyms of Triodontus owas Westwood, 1852. Lectotypes are designated for the following names: Orphnus nitidulus Guérin-Méneville, 1844 and Orphnidius modestus Benderitter, 1914. Keys, descriptions, illustrations of habitus and male genitalia, and distributional records maps are given for all species.

Abstract On the consideration of the morphological characters of its type-species, especially the shape and structure of the aedeagus, the genus Tosevskiana Pavicevic, 1985, is removed from the subfamily Pachydeminae, in which it was originally described, to the subfamily Melolonthinae. The new combination Tosevskiana sithoniensis (Král, 1998) comb. n. is also proposed. Thus, the genus Tosevskiana is now composed of two species localized in the south east of the Balkan Peninsula. In addition, the restoration of the combination Rhizotrogus camusi Antoine, 1959, is based on the examination of the genital segment of the type-specimen.

The recently revised genus Adorodocia Brenske, 1893 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae: Adoretini), comprises 17 species, one of them represented by two subspecies (Montreuil Frolov 2014). This genus forms, together with Paradorodocia Machatschke, 1957 (four species: Montreuil 2010), and Metadorodocia Machatschke, 1957 (two species: Akhmetova Montreuil 2010), the subtribe Adorodociina Ohaus, 1912, endemic to Madagascar (Ohaus 1912). Representatives of this subtribe are characterized by a strong prominent prosternal apophyse. In addition, all the species of this subtribe have a rather large body and bear a few strong long hairs on the apical hump of the elytra and more or less strong scale-like setae distributed over the elytra.

Summary A revision of the New Caledonian genus Paronthobium Paulian 1984 is presented. Anonthobium Paulian 1984 is synonymized with Paronthobium Paulian 1984 after evaluating the diagnostic characters originally introduced by Paulian to separate them. Upon examination of the type specimens, Onthobium caledonicum Paulian 1935 is separated from O. simplex Fauvel 1903 and restored as valid. Anonthobium moui Paulian 1984 is synonymized with Anonthobium micros Paulian 1984. Fifteen new species are described: P. adio n. sp., P. daghfousi n. sp., P. dierkensi n. sp., P. farino n. sp., P. iac n. sp., P. julieni n. sp., P. memaoya n. sp., P. minutum n. sp., P. nasutum n. sp., P. orientale n. sp., P. peckorum n. sp., P. petchecara n. sp., P. subdentatum n. sp., P. taom n. sp. and P. tchingou n. sp. The genus Paronthobium is now composed of 22 species. Illustrations of parameres and of male protibiae are provided for each species. Distribution maps and a key to species are given.

Summary. The Adoretini of the Malagasy endemic genus Adorodocia Brenske 1893 is revised. Fourteen new species and one new subspecies are described and compared with their most closely related species: A. constricta n. sp., A. cuccodoroi n. sp., A. flava n. sp., A. liliae n. sp., A. marginata n. sp., A. peyrierasi n. sp., A. pseudoconstricta n. sp., A. pseudoflava n. sp., A. pseudostrigata n. sp., A. recta n. sp., A. robusta n. sp., A. sogai n. sp., A. vadoni n. sp., A. viettei n. sp. and A. vittaticollis flavipes n. ssp. The synonymy between Adoretus strigatus Waterhouse 1878, and Pseudadorodocia aenigma Arrow 1901, is confirmed. Thus, based on the results of this study, the genus Adorodocia includes 16 species, and one of them is represented by two subspecies. Diagnostic characters to separate the species in the genus deal mostly with the shape of parameres, color of body and legs, shape of pronotum and female eighth tergite, setation of pronotum and elytra. Key to species, diagnoses and distribution for each species are provided. Endophallus and female genitalia are illustrated for the first time for this genus.
