Dönüşümsel Öğrenme Kuramina Dayali Çevre Eğitiminin Biyoloji Öğretmen Adaylarinin Çevre Sorunlarina Yönelik Algilarina Etkisi

Bu calismanin amaci donusumsel ogrenme kuramina dayali cevre egitiminin biyoloji ogretmen adaylarinin cevre sorunlarina yonelik algilarina etkisini incelemektir. Arastirma modeli nicel ve nitel arastirma yontemlerinin birlikte kullanildigi karma yontem olarak tasarlanmistir. Arastirma uygulamalari Gazi Universitesi Biyoloji Egitimi Anabilim Dalinda ogrenim goren 28 biyoloji ogretmen adayi ile 14 hafta surede gerceklestirilmistir. Arastirmada nicel verilerin toplanmasinda cevre sorunlari bilgisi testi, cevre sorunlari tutum olcegi, cevreye duyarli davranis olcegi ve cevreye yonelik inanc olcegi; nitel verilerin toplanmasinda yari yapilandirilmis gorusme formu uygulanmistir. Nicel veriler SPSS 18 paket programi ile nitel veriler ise icerik analizi yontemi ile analiz edilmis, frekans ve yuzde olarak ifade edilmistir. Arastirma sonunda donusumsel ogrenme modelinin uygulandigi deney grubunun cevre sorunlari bilgisi, cevre sorunlarina yonelik tutum, cevreye yonelik inanc ve cevreye duyarli davranis duzeylerinin, geleneksel yontemin uygulandigi kontrol grubuna gore anlamli olarak farklilastigi belirlenmistir

MEB Ortaöğretim 11.Sınıf Biyoloji Ders Kitabının Bilimsel İçerik Bakımından İncelenmesi

Ders kitaplarinda bilimsel icerigin uygun olmasi ogrencilerde kavram yanilgilarinin olusmasinin engellenmesi ve bilimsel temelin eksiksiz yapilandirilmasi bakimindan onemlidir. Bu noktadan hareketle bu calismanin amaci MEB 10. Sinif biyoloji ders kitabinin bilimsel icerik bakimindan incelenmesidir. Calisma kapsaminda MEB 10. Sinif biyoloji ders kitabi iki biyoloji alan uzmani tarafindan incelenmis, kitapta yer alan bilimsel icerik; eksik bilgi, yanlis bilgi, yanlis anlamlandirma gibi kriterlere gore degerlendirilmistir. Inceleme sonuclari unite ve bolumlere gore kategorize edilerek verilmistir. Calisma sonunda ureme, kalitimin ilkeleri ve dunyamiz unitelerinde bazi konularda bilimsel yanlisliklar, ifade eksiklikleri ve unite bolum degerlendirme sorularinda yanlisliklar oldugu belirlenmistir. Evaluating High School Students' Anxiety and Self-Efficacy towards Biology.

Anxiety and self-efficacy are among the factors that impact students’ performance in biology. The current study aims to investigate high school students’ perception of biology anxiety and self-efficacy, in relation to gender, grade level, interest in biology, negative experience associated with biology classes, and teachers’ approaches in the class. The research was designed as a survey model. The study group consisted of 160 students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades at 4 different high schools in Ankara during 2014 Spring Semester. Biology Anxiety Scale and Biology Self-Efficacy Perception Scale, both developed by the researchers, were used as data collection tools. Data were analyzed through t test, ANOVA, and Pearson Correlation in SPSS software package. The research results show that interest in biology and negative past experience were significant predictors of students’ biology anxiety and that students’ biology self-efficacy percepts significantly differed on gender, grade level, interest in biology, past experiences, and teachers’ approaches in the classes. Considering the relationship between anxiety and self-efficacy, activities must be organized at schools in order to reduce students’ biology anxieties.
