Rector of Simferopol University in 1985–1989 Aleksandr Georgiyevich Shein (to the 75th anniversary)

The present paper concerns the activity of a famous radio physicist, an expert in the field of SHF physical electron-ics, the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Alexandr Georgiyevich Shein. Three periods of Prof. Sheins activity are singled out: in Kharkov, in the Crimea, and in Volgograd. It is noted, that in Simferopol State University the department of radio physics was organized upon an initiative of A. G. Shein.

Subject ontologies in the general and regional historiography of radio technology development

In the report with use of the history and typological approach the principles of formation of subject ontologies (of scientific results, science divisions, objects under study, research methods) for a portal of knowledge on the general and regional historiography of radio technologies development are offered.

Sea tests of primal national systems of radio detection and their tactical deployment in defense of Sevastopol 1941–1942: (to 65 anniversary of Victory)

Data of sea tests of the first systems of radio detection in September-November of 1939 in the Black Sea near Sevastopol are presented and report on their tactical deployment on the basis of memoirs of a defender of Sevastopol, commanding officer of air defense battery, Ye. A. Ignatovich (22.10.1916-23.08.2000) is submitted. Short summary about the author of memoirs is given.

Considered in this paper are the stages of establishing and development of Radioengineering & Telecommunications Department of Sevastopol National Technical University, which has celebrated its 50-year anniversary in May, 2010.

Web 2.0 and scientific research: Two-level concept

Considered in this paper are the possibilities and peculiarities of creating knowledge portal on the basis of ontologies, as well as basic ontologies of scientific knowledge portal and offline knowledge avantportal. Proposed is two-level concept for development of scientific knowledge portal. According to this concept, the “lower” level (resource) is digital library, created on the basis of ontologies, with metadata about this resource in the “upper” level, which realizes on of the variants of CMS organization.
