Effect of two emission antennas on field uniformity in a reverberation chamber

Cui Yaozhong; Wei Guanghui; Fan Lisi; Liu Xiaoqiang; Pan Xiaodong

The simulation models of reverberation chamber excited by two antennas and single antenna are constructed. The field uniformity at 80MHz and 120MHz are obtained when single antenna and two antennas are utilized respectively. Compared with single emission antenna, the field uniformity is improved using two emission antennas. The mechanism of field uniformity improved is analyzed. Besides, using two antennas could lower the requirement of power amplifier than one when same field strength is desired. So reverberation chamber using two antennas could decline the cost of electromagnetic compatibility test.

Research on electromagnetic environment effects for typical shortwave communication equipment

Pan Xiaodong; Wei Guanghui; Geng Lifei; Zhu Genchun

The UWB and CW irradiation effects on typical communication equipment were researched in this paper. The UWB experiments indicate that when the irradiation E-field intensity is larger than 50kV/m, the display panel fault of shortwave communication station appears. The coupling channel is the display panel of the station. When the irradiation E-field intensity is larger than 150kV/m, the effect of display panel fault, break down, restart and voice stoppage appears. The main coupling channel is the power supply cord of communication station. The continuous wave experiments indicate that when the interference frequency is close to the station working frequency, it has the best interference effect. When the frequency variation Δf is smaller than 15kHz, the interference effect could be preferable, and the communication station interference is sensitive to E-field intensity. The research conclusions above provide technology reference to further study electromagnetic environment effects for shortwave communication equipment.

Li Kai; Wei Guanghui; Pan Xiaodong; Zhang Long; Li Xinfeng

To analysis field strength and protect sensitive circuits in shielding cavity, Field enhancement effect has been researched in frequency domain with shielding effectiveness by using electromagnetic simulation software CST. Experimental system has built with a vector network analyzer, power amplifier, GTEM cell and pulsed electromagnetic field measuring probe to verify the simulation results. Theoretical analysis about the formation mechanism of the field enhancement effect is studied, influence of shape of aperture, electromagnetic wave polarization direction, absorbing material loaded on field enhancement effect are also researched.

Li Xinfeng; Wei Guanghui; Pan Xiaodong; Li Kai

The continuous and ultra wide-band irradiation effects on coaxial line were researched in this paper. The experiment system and method are introduced. Comparing the UWB and CW irradiation experiment results, the coaxial cable response exists frequency selecting characteristic to electromagnetic irradiation, the peak value of terminal load response voltage appears at series of discrete frequency points, where test cable relative length equals to semi-integer.The coupling mechanism of coaxial cable is analyzed, when one terminal is suited, another terminal load response has nonlinear increase with the increase of the resistance value. The voltage and internal resistance of equivalent induced voltage source obey the theory of partial voltage. A equivalent circuit is established and its veracity is well.

The Experiment Research on Continuous Wave Electromagnetic Radiation Effect for Electric Firing Ammunition

Pan Xiaodong; Liu Cunli; Wang Shu-ping; Fan Lisi

The electric firing ammunition was carried out continuous wave radiation effect experiment by using GTEM cell in this paper. The electromagnetic energy coupled by the projectile body will act on the electric igniter ultimately. According to testing the induced voltage on the electric ignitor in the effect experiment, the electromagnetic safety of the electric firing ammunition can be evaluated. The experiment results indicate that when the radiated electric field is 50V/m the induced voltage on the electric ignitor is smaller than 1V (Cy-RMS value), and the induced voltage is much less than the firing threshold of the electric ignitor. Therefore, under the normal electromagnetic environment condition, it is safe for ××× rocket ammunition to store, transport and service.
