METHODS: Data were collected from documents and medical records selected by code between October 2007 and March 2009. Data were subjected to descriptive statistics. RESULTS: There was a predominance of male individuals (67.80%); 58.95% of the patients/participants were children within the age range from 0 to 7 years; 88.48% came from cities in the northern region of the state of Sao Paulo; 43.2% were referred by the hospitals neurology service, and 33.6% were attending school. The diagnosis was language delay in 27.5% of cases, language disorder in 20.06%, and learning disorders in 15.51%, with prevalence rates of 0.31, 0.17 and 0.23 in 273 cases, respectively. The co-morbidities were delayed motor development (14.28%) and prematurity (8.69%). The referrals were for Audiology (24.77%) and Dentistry (20.18%), and 51.64% of the users were on the waiting list for treatment on site. CONCLUSION: It was prevalent the diagnosis of language delay in male children with ages between 0 and 6 years and 11 months. It was identified an external flow coming from nearby cities and an internal flow (outpatient). Part of the demand was absorbed by the institutions Speech-Language Pathology Service, and part was in the waiting list or was counter-referred to their units of origin for follow-up.

PURPOSE: To investigate the satisfaction of participants with an educational program in health. METHODS: Research voluntarily participants were 34 adults, 21 females and 13 males. For the collection was designed an instrument directed with responses presented in Likert scale (0-5). The data were categorized and tabulated for analysis by nonparametric statistics. RESULTS: The program was evaluated as very good (VG) by 73.8% of those interviewed, the strategy of presentation as VG by 73.2%, the organization was 70.3% for VG, the language and supporting material for VG were 75.5% and 57.2% respectively, and 69.3% considered it important the content and 44% were prepared to convey knowledge. CONCLUSION: It consisted to which participants were satisfied with the program, so the circles of conversation were an effective strategy capable of producing a discussion of the issues placed on the agenda and effective for sensitization of the participants in their health.

Introduction: People who stutter can suffer a negative impact on their quality of life. Objective: Investigate the satisfaction with educational actions in health performed on the International Stuttering Awareness Day Campaign. Material and Methods: Study sample consisted of archived institutional documents referring to 135 questionnaires applied and entirely filled n the Stuttering Awareness Day Campaign. The questionnaires had directive interview questions, and it was constituted by closed questions, with a Likert-type scale response to the satisfaction degree. We presented two dichotomous questions about Bullying (“yes”/“no”) and an open question about “what was missing in the campaign.” Non-parametric statistics analysis was used to categorize and tabulate data. The calculation of the absolute and relative frequencies of the responses was used. For the analysis, the questionnaires were divided into two groups, according to the campaign location: G1 (specialized service, n=31) and G2 (schools, n=104). Results: Educational actions were carried out predominantly through lectures (89.6%) and round conversation (10.4%). All participants had access to the information leaflet nd t-shirt; 84.4% had access to the movie and the poster. There was satisfaction of the majority of the participants regarding the theme and period of duration. Explanations were enough to understand bullying (97.9%); 57.6% answered to know someone who suffered some type of intimidation (6.0% regarding stuttering). As for what was lacking in the campaign, there was a diversity of responses, with a higher percentage for “forms of treatment” (11.9%), followed by “beating in school” (0.9%). Conclusion: There was satisfaction with the educational actions in health on the Stuttering Awareness Day Campaign, 2010, regarding the theme, the duration period, the kind of activities, and the supplied materials. Methods: 51 users participated of PE, of which, 45 graduating of 6th and 8th period (G1) and 6 speech therapists (G2). All answered a survey directed. For the statistical analysis, it was used the Fishers exact test and the calculation of absolute and relative frequencies of the answers. Results: the use of Medical Records as standardized and institutional electronic tool was considered by students and speech therapists, respectively as organized and dynamic (60,00% and 33,33%), of an easy handling (80,00% and 83,33%) and efficient regarding the physical medical records (60,00% and 66,67%). As for the use/benefit, it was considered a facilitator for clinical care (G1=82,22%; G2=100,00%), benefiting users and professionals (G1=80,00%; G2= 100,00%). Conclusion: the participants considered the Medical Records as an appropriate institutional and standardized electronic tool, more effective compared to physical medical records and that benefited the clinical attendance of speech therapy in the service of low and medium complexity. It was verified that there were differences in the way users perceive the Medical Records. The professionals were more satisfied the appropriateness of this tool to the needs of care to register the clinical course and content of the data entered in this record and less satisfied with the existence of faults, compared to graduates.
