Publication

Featured researches published by Paul V. Demarco.

Journal of The Chemical Society D: Chemical Communications | 1970

Cyclohepta-amylose inclusion complexes. A proton magnetic resonance study

Paul V. Demarco; Arvind Lavji Thakkar

Proton magnetic resonance provides direct evidence for the inclusion nature of cyclohepta-amylose complex formation with aromatic substrates.

Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy | 1969

19F NMR study of intramolecular---hydrogen bonding in ortho-trifluoromethylphenol

David Doddrell; Ernest Wenkert; Paul V. Demarco

Abstract From both solvent shift and dilution studies, intramolecular OH⋯F hydrogen bonding is indicated in ortho -trifluoromethylphenol (I). Extended Huckel calculations further support these findings and demonstrate the potential of this method in the analysis of hydrogen-bonding phenomena.

Journal of The Chemical Society D: Chemical Communications | 1969

13 C and 220 MHz analysis of camphor and thiocamphor. Anisotropy and solvent effects of the cs bond

Paul V. Demarco; David M. Doddrell; Ernest Wenkert

Comparative investigation of the 13C and 1H (220 MHz) n.m.r. spectra of camphor and thiocamphor provides information regarding the electronic nature of the CS bond.

Journal of The Chemical Society D: Chemical Communications | 1970

Structural studies on penicillin derivatives: 13C nuclear magnetic resonance studies of some penicillins and related sulphoxides

Robert A. Archer; Robin D. G. Cooper; Paul V. Demarco; Le Roy F. Johnson

13 C Chemical shift assignments are made for several penicillin and penicillin sulphoxide derivatives: shifts for γ-situated carbons are best explained if a sizeable steric effect is attributed to the S→O bond.

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1968

Pyridine-induced solvent shifts in the nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of hydroxylic compounds

Paul V. Demarco; Eugene Farkas; David M. Doddrell; Banavara L. Mylari; Ernest Wenkert

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1970

Paramagnetic induced shifts in the proton magnetic resonance spectra of alcohols using tris(dipivalomethanato)europium(III)

Paul V. Demarco; Thomas K. Elzey; R. Burton Lewis; Ernest Wenkert

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1974

Letter: The structure of A23187, a divalent cation ionophore.

Michael O. Chaney; Paul V. Demarco; Noel D. Jones; John L. Occolowitz

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1969

Structural studies on penicillin derivatives. I. Configuration of phenoxymethylpenicillin sulfoxide

Robin D. G. Cooper; Paul V. Demarco; James C. Cheng; Noel D. Jones

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1970

Structural studies of cannabinoids. A theoretical and proton magnetic resonance analysis.

Robert A. Archer; Donald B. Boyd; Paul V. Demarco; Irene J. Tyminski; Norman L. Allinger

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences | 1971

Cycloheptaamylose Inclusion Complexes of Barbiturates: Correlation between Proton Magnetic Resonance and Solubility Studies
