Metamorfoses e tendências no xadrez do poder mundial

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar as novas tendencias no equilibrio do poder mundial, o qual se fragmentou e diluiu ao contrario do que se verificava anteriormente. Neste sentido, procurar-se-a esbocar alguns cenarios marcados ora por uma postura multilateralista, ora unilateralista, ora pela coexistencia de ambas afetas ao comportamento dos Estados Unidos, de forma a especular-se como podera o hegemon norte-americano agir nesta nova ordem mundial, caraterizada por diversos desafios e ameacas. This article aims to analyse the new trends in the balance of world power, which has fragmented and diluted itself contrary to what occurred previously. In this sense, we will try to outline some scenarios marked by either a multilateralist or unilateralist posture, or even by the coexistence of both in what regards the behaviour of the USA, in order to speculate how the US hegemon can act in this new world order, characterised by various challenges and threats.
