Lectotypification of Centaurea alpina L. (Compositae) and the identity of Centaurea linaresii Lázaro Ibiza

A lectotype for the name Centaurea alpina (≡ Rhaponticoides alpina, Compositae) is herein designated from original material conserved in the BM Herbarium (Clifford Herbarium). A previously accepted name, Centaurea linaresii, is treated as a synonym; this name was previously typified from original material conserved in the MAF Herbarium, but was wrongly considered as holotype. Typification of Four Linnaean Names in Centaurea (Asteraceae)

The Linnaean names Centaurea aegyptiaca, C. behen, C. scabiosa and C. verutum (Asteraceae) are lectotypified using three specimens from Linnaeuss herbarium and a Rauwolf illustration. The designations are based on an assessment of Linnaeuss original material.

Se lectotipifica Rhamnus lotus L. [Ziziphus lotus (L.) Lam.] (Rham- naceae), para lo cual se ha estudiado todo el material depositado en los diferentes herbarios donde se conserva material de Linneo y la informacion bibliografica del protologo. Se propone como lecto- tipo el material conservado en el herbario de Linneo (LINN).
