Magnetic Field Controlled Capacitor

Abstract This paper deals with the capacitor using magnetic fluid as a magnetic field controlled dielectrics. It is shown, that dielectrics of this capacitor exhibits magnetic field induced anisotropy.

Investigation of field induced magnetic anisotropy in ferromagnetic liquids

Petr Polcar; Daniel Mayer

Physical properties of ferromagnetic liquids strongly depend on the applied external magnetic field. This paper studies both reversible and irreversible anisotropic changes of their magnetic permeability based on the field direction. Observed phenomena are expected to find their usage in sensor technology and can even be used to design new types of magnetic circuits.

Magnetorheological brake design and experimental verification

This paper deals with the principle, design and verification of the magnetorheological brake. Magnetic field in the brake gap is simulated and results are compared with measurements on the device, suitable magnetorheological fluid is chosen and torque characteristics of the brake are experimentally verified.
