Apparatus aspects of man-caused electromagnetic fields metrology when using national normative base

Vitalij Nichoga; E. Grudzinski; Petro Dub; B. Kizlik; L. Sopilnyk

Apparatus aspects of metrology of artificial electromagnetic fields caused at workplaces and in environment by devices and facilities used in industry, transport and domestic life are analyzed in the article. Comparison of man-caused emission and permissible limits, defined by the normative documentation, and instruments for electromagnetic environment monitoring are considered.

3D-modeling of rail pair magnetic field

Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub

Some results of modeling of the magnetic fields induced by automatic locomotive signaling, taking into account the influence of the ground and the locomotive, are presented. The possibility of usage of corresponding signals for technical diagnostics of the rail state is considered.

seminar/workshop on direct and inverse problems of electromagnetic and acoustic wave theory | 2008

Alternating magnetic fields as an instrument for technical diagnostics of the rail damages

Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub; Viktor Ivanchuk

Electromagnetic methods, which are based on determination of the characteristics of the electromagnetic fields radiated by inspected objects when alternating electrical currents flow in them, are widely used in engineering practice.

Three-component wide-band low-frequency magnetic antenna for diagnostics of magnetic fields in outboard space

Vitalij Nichoga; Ihor Gontar; Petro Dub

A three-component wide-band low-frequency magnetic antenna for diagnostics of magnetic fields in outboard space is considered. Methods of calculation of such antennas parameters and technical means for fulfilling the required characteristics are described. The basic technical, structural and exploitation characteristics of the MP-3M three-component on-board active antenna are given.

Diagnostics of technical state of stretched engineering underground communications by electromagnetic methods

V.O. Nichoga; P. Dykmarova; P.P. Drabych; Petro Dub

In this paper electromagnetic methods of diagnostics of technical state of stretched engineering underground communications (such as cables or pipelines) are considered. Formulae for calculating the components of underground communication electromagnetic field are presented. Technical characteristics of one of the devices for searching underground objects, determination of their coordinates and insulation damages which was designed in the Physico-mechanical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are described.

intelligent data acquisition and advanced computing systems: technology and applications | 2003

On a possibility of determination of underground pipeline corrosion state by contactless methods

Liudmyla P. Dykmarova; Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub

The problem of usage of contactless methods for underground pipeline corrosion state inspection is considered. It is shown that noncontact measurement of the pipeline currents gives an opportunity to determine the places of insulation covering damages. Some questions of use of sensors for magnetic field measurements are discussed

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement | 2002

Underground pipeline in problems of remote testing of corrosion protection

Liudmyla Dikmarova; Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub

Analytical expressions for determination of the transient pipe-ground resistance and its component-insulation resistance-are obtained. The dynamic range of magnitude values of the magnetic components of the main pipeline field with various conditions of its excitation was analyzed. It is shown that induction sensors satisfy all requirements existing for primary transducers in nondestructive testing and technical diagnostics of underground pipelines.

Peculiarities of European Union Countries and Ukraine Approach to Estimation of Technogenic Electromagnetic Fields Influence on Bioecosystems

Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub; Eugeniusz Grudzinski

Characteristics of European union and Ukraine standards concerning acceptable limits of technogenic electromagnetic field strength for protection of workers and population are presented in the report.

international conference on telecommunications | 2003

Computer and measurement determination of the electromagnetic field parameters. theory and practice

Eugeniusz Grudzinski; Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub

Some peculiarities of determination of the electrical E and magnetic H components of field strength near the field source (in the near zone) are considered in the report. It is shown that in such cases calculation methods do not take into account many factors that can essentially distort the calculation results.

international conference on experience of designing and applications of cad systems in microelectronics | 2003

Rail current measurement by induction sensors oriented vertically

Vitalij Nichoga; Petro Dub

The peculiarities of measurement of automatic locomotive signalisation rail currents when using vertically oriented induction sensors are analysed in this article. It is shown that use of such sensors make it possible to obtain a higher ratio of signal to disturbance than for horizontally oriented ones in almost all cases of possible disturbance source situations.
