In the paper, a hypothesis of determining brain hemisphere dominance from a frontal face image is investigated. Behind this hypothesis, a face is considered as somatic/psychological background. A biometrical method based on person facial asymmetry characteristics is used. The method includes finding a proper vertical face axis and applying new asymmetry measures. Experimental observations confirm that there exists a correlation between the left/right brain hemispheres mutual functioning and a human face asymmetry. Moreover, examples show that the indication of the facial asymmetry is consistent with information about the hemisphere dominance. The presented method has been tested on color images of individuals with previously examined brain types.

In the paper new method of secure data transmission between mobile devices is proposed. Already existing applications demand on the user to care about secure issues himself or herself. Derived method focuses on secure channel creation using well known QR codes technology, which allows prevent the eavesdropper from interception transmitted data during connection establishing process.

Learning through games is increasingly gaining acceptance as a valuable training tool within the education and training community due to its simplicity, cost-effectiveness and essentially because most people prefer playing over learning. However, the use of games by students brings additional challenges regarding the design of games and their adoption in different learning, academic and interdisciplinary contexts, where issues such as planning, teachers and students participation have an important role in the success of contextual learning initiatives. This paper introduces a novel development framework and a learning process called WalkAbout for contextual learning mobile game systems that enables learners to practice and enhance 21st century skills, while generating and playing mobile contextual games. In our research, we investigate the main issues regarding the process of creating contextual mobile games and we detail the adopted methodology used in the design and implementation process of the WalkAbout framework. Finally, in order to preliminarily validate the platform and adopted methodology, we present and discuss the main results obtained after the games development, by looking at the potential of our design approach, the software framework and the learning experience that was offered to the students.

The concern about the data security is still growing. The applications we use still lack basic security. The security can be obtained easily without heightening the awareness of the users by simply implementing methods that allow end-to-end security. In the paper we present the new method of public key distribution using Social Media Networks. We use groups or circles that users can create there and publish images in the gallery with proper public or private access. After establishing secure session user can switch into different medium of communication, e.g. different messenger or text-SMS to share their data in secure way. Then there are described several applications of the presented method Secure Data Exchange (SDEx), e.g. secure SMS texting, Social Media Networking and data sharing. We propose frame format of the published QRcode as a public key and data message frame format.

The paper presents deriving of shape asymmetry measure in the dermatological sense (DASMShape). The skin lesion symmetry consists of three factors: shape, hue/color and structure. We analyze the shape asymmetry and on its basis we propose a new asymmetry degree realized in several ways. DASMShape methods verification and comparison is performed using PH2 database. The results received after optimization of the DASMShape algorithm are tested on PH2 dataset and discussion about their accuracy is provided. These results shows bigger overestimation than underestimation tendency results. DASMShape measure and its results are the initial points to derive dermatological asymmetry measure.

The asymmetry of skin lesion is one of the three-point checklist (3PCLD). The 3CPLD is depending of a shape, hue/color and structure of the lesion. In the paper, a dermatological asymmetry measure in hue (DASMHue) is presented and discussed. The hue distribution asymmetry of the segmented skin lesion is discussed and new dermatological asymmetry measures of hue distribution are defined. One of the DASMHue measures is thoroughly presented. The results of the DASMHue algorithm based on the threshold binary masks using PH2 dataset shows stronger overestimating results but the total ratio 95.8% of correctly and overestimated cases is better than the ratio which takes into account only shape alone.

It is shown that so called fundamental solutions the semiclassical expansions of which have been established earlier to be Borel summable to the solutions themselves appear also to be the unique solutions to the one-dimensional (1D) Schrodinger equation having this property. Namely, it is shown in this paper that for the polynomial potentials the Borel function defined by the fundamental solutions can be considered as the canonical one. The latter means that any Borel summable solution can be obtained by the Borel transformation of this unique canonical Borel function multiplied by some ℏ-dependent and Borel summable constant. This justifies the exceptional role the fundamental solutions play in 1D quantum mechanics and completes the relevant semiclassical theory relied on the Borel resummation technique and developed in our other papers.

In dermatology there are several well known algorithms of melanocytic lesions recognition but there are not automated algorithms of skin lesion identification and classification. The main aim of this paper is to examine skin changes based on the skin analysis in the chosen model color spaces. With the help of that analysis, the authors show how to extract information from the skin images that will be useful for a future dermatology expert system. In the paper, the authors introduce a novel clinical feature extraction and segmentation method based on modified dermatologists’ approach to diagnose skin lesions. We have also prepared a database (DermDB) of dermoscopic images with the reference data prepared and validated by expert dermatologists.

We have introduced the creation of the fuzzy adapting three-level advisor BrainThinker based on Ernst Muldashevs ophthalmic geometry pattern, A. Anuashvilis 2D human being typology, works of building FlirtationAdvisor and methods of its realization. The advisor can be used in the case when there is no knowledge about a model researching phenomenon. The other use of the advisor can be an automatic switching path of (e)-learning people with a different type of personality, in the near future. The authors have worked out the thinker model based on B. Gates and S. Jobs current personality analysis. The method has been worked by the authors, also.

In the paper the new automatic method for recognizing faces, determining the facial asymmetry and a new frontal facial asymmetry measures are proposed. These new factors and measures are the great help in designing more novel and automatic methods for recognizing not only the faces but also determining the dominance of a proper brain hemisphere. The examples of the implementation of the method are presented and compared with the improved method derived by Milczarski, Kompanets and Kurach [14] and the Anuashvili’s [1] method for the estimation of verical axis. The results of the estimation may be used for designing absolutely novel e-learning technologies, for choosing an appropriate type of learning program for bilateral, left-brain, or right-brain thinker, or for synthesis of synergic work collectives. The method may be used for automatic identification of the mentioned above personality types in the future.
