Improving Process Planning Through Sequencing the Operations

The intention of this paper is to give some methodical approach in process planning. Within this it covers the problem of defining the sequence of operations. Quality of the product, production time and production cost determine sequence of operations. The purpose is to analyse their influences and how to apply them in making decisions. Matrix of anteriorities sometimes generates multiple solutions. Understanding these influences could lead to solution of these problems.

Obrnuti postupak za određivanje broja prolaza i parametara obrade kod uzdužnog tokarenja

Kako bi se smanjila proizvodnja skarta i nepotrebno rasipanje vremena, algoritmi za donosenje odluka koriste se kod projektiranja tehnoloskih procesa. Odabir parametara obrade (dubine reza, posmaka i brzine) uobicajeno se donosi na temelju iskustva ili upotrebom prirucnika. Tijekom godina mnogo truda je uloženo u cilju pronalaska optimalnih algoritama za obradu metala. Algoritam koji je predložio G. Halevi ne uzima u obzir zadani alat ili stroj te se zbog toga naziva obrnutim postupkom. Uzimajuci u obzir granicne vrijednosti parametara obrade i njihov utjecaj na povrsinsku hrapavost, algoritam pronalazi maksimalne vrijednosti parametara, dajuci prednost posmaku i time reducirajuci broj prolaza kod obrade. Predloženi algoritam je prikazan pomocu dijagrama, implementiran u softverski paket MATLAB i testiran na primjeru uzdužnog tokarenja. Dobiveni rezultati su uspoređeni s preporukama iz Iscarovog kataloga te upucuju na to da je algoritam primjeren za određivanje broja prolaza i parametara obrade. Ovaj clanak je doprinos automatiziranim algoritmima za donosenje odluka koji se koriste kod projektiranje tehnoloskih procesa.

Process Planning Application and Internet Connection

This work is a part of the project creating the technological database necessary for improvement of process planning and connection database through SQL server by Internet environment. Developed web site for Database System and Process Planning is useful especially during development student’s project’s of technological process inside fields Process Planning, Production and Operations Management. Here we have elaborated the first phase of selecting tool machines, tools, operations and initial material on the basis of the chosen criteria.We have indicated the problems of selection and the possibility of working out a solution. The Internet technology gives us the possibility to share our data with many users and a chance to improve the elements of Virtual Manufacturing
