ABSTRACT The female, male, deutonymph and protonymph of Julolaelaps moseri n. sp. (Mesostigmata: Laelapidae) collected from an unidentified “giant millipede” (family Spirostreptidae) from Trinidad are described and illustrated. Comments and characteristics for Julolaelaps are given.

Two new species of Ereynetes (Acari: Prostigmata: Ereynetidae) associated with bark beetles.

Ereynetes propescutulis n. sp. and E. sinescutulis n. sp. are described and illustrated. Both species are phoretic on bark beetles. Trapping data indicates that E. propescutulis is phoretic on the female bark beetle.

TWO NEW GENERA AND SPECIES OF EUZERCONIDAE (MESOSTIGMATA: CELAENOPSOIDEA) WITH A KEY TO NEW WORLD GENERA

Two new genera and species of mites of the family Euzerconidae are described. Trinizercon atyeoi Hunter and Rosario, n. gen., n. sp., is described from specimens collected from the beetle Passalus (Passalus) interruptus (Lineo) (Passalidae) in Trinidad. Etazercon starri Hunter and Rosario, n. gen., n. sp., is described from specimens collected from the beetle Passalus (Passalus) jansoni (Bates) (Passalidae) in Costa Rica.

Abstract Paraschizogynium odontokeri nov. gen., nov. sp. collected from passalid beetles in the Philippines is described. A summary of the geographical distribution (South Africa, India, North and Central America, Chile and the Philippines) and habitats of the known species are given.

The genus Crassoseta is erected for three new species of diplogyniid mites taken from passalid beetles collected in Mexico, Brazil and Costa Rica; Brachysternum cornutum Hyatt, 1964 is transferred to this genus and a key to species is given. Brachysternopsk gen.n. is established for B. flechtmanni gen. et sp.n. taken from an ant, Atrica capiguara. in Brazil.
