Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to identify the existence of studies, by exploring the current literatures, on interaction among actors in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. Design/methodology/approach – A new classification framework is offered, along with the two dimensions of ERP implementation: determinants and outcomes, to provide four types of research classes. Hundreds of articles were searched by using keywords from journal data bases. The selected articles were grouped based on the new classification of ERP implementation, followed by an in-depth analysis by using the Context, Intervention, Mechanism, Outcomes logic and the system of systems methodologies (SOSM) framework. Findings – The interactions among actors in ERP implementation have been overlooked, although there is almost always disagreements, misperceptions, and conflicts. Managing the interactions among actors is considered important because common failures in ERP implementation are often caused by mismanaged int...

Jenes River lies in the south of Surakarta City, passing through Laweyan, Serengan, and Pasar Kliwon. The condition of the water deteriorates day by day because of human activities including the process of batik making, textile factories, and neighborhood waste where most of the waste is directly thrown into this river. Before the water quality was degraded people could obtain many benefits from consuming the water and using it to support their daily life activities, but now because the river condition already below the quality standard, the water is no longer safe to consume and the river ecosystem is also damage. This chapter delineates this problem, stressing batik waste pollution as one of the causes for environmental degradation in Jenes River. Stakeholder analysis is explored with all possible claims from every stakeholder by using critical system heuristics (CSH). The claims are collected based on primary data from interview with several key persons, and secondary data from papers, journal articles, and newspapers. After displaying the problem constellation, conflict potency is explored using Drama-theoretic Dilemma Analysis (DtDA). DtDA is used to analyze dilemmas that arise in this problem. The DtDA analysis uses confrontation manager software. The results are several scenarios that can be implemented by the stakeholders to eliminate the dilemmas and propose solutions.

This research aims to describe the phenomena of cervical cancer spreading in Indonesia limited to cervical cancer spread caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and proposed agent based as an alternative of decision support system for the government. This model focused on the high-risk HPV infection through human sexual behavior. Literature studies, observation, and depth interview with the experts of oncology were implemented. The agent-based simulation (ABS) illustrates the social and sexual interactions in which the HPV may spread easily. It also allows the interaction that occurred if government interventions were implemented and shows how much these actions affect the number of HPV infections. The results gave significant findings on the importance of the government intervention to prioritize on promotion and socialization program on sexual health practice in Indonesia, before implementing both the HPV vaccination (as a national program), and the improvement of the medical treatment on HPV+ patients.

This paper aims to get a better understanding of the dynamic process in the competitive signaling interaction, by studying the process from hypergame perspective. Competitive signaling interaction in this paper is about under what condition a company should believe its competitor’s announcement in the interaction between a company who sends a price increase signal and who can choose between telling the truth and bluffing, and a company who receive the signal which has to decide whether or not to believe the sender. First, the concept of competitive signaling as a hypergame situation is identified. Then, the adaptive learning model of hypergame is described. Based on the model, this research proposed a new learning procedure to support a receiving firm, who faces the uncertainty of sender’s motive, to learn the objective situation. Finally, by examining the simulation results, this research point out that a receiving firm which is supported with the learning procedure could learns the sender’s motive, makes a better decision, and takes an action appropriate with it.
