Abstract An Andreev-reflection study is presented on point contacts with the high-Tc superconductor (Hg0.7Cr0.3)Sr2CuO4 with a critical temperature near 60 K. The normal-metal—superconductor point contacts show a clear superconducting gap structure in the dV/dI(V) spectra with gap parameter Δ=10–15 meV yielding 2Δ/kBTc= 3.4–5.1. The temperature dependence of the Andreev-reflection spectra was analyzed within the Blonder—Tinkham—Klapwijk model by the introduction of a broadening parameter Γ.
