In this article, a specific problem of Ground-based SAR (GB-SAR) system imaging is introduced. As for GB-SAR, the illuminated area ranges from about 1m to 1000m. As a result, the attenuation of the echo with the range change could not be ignored. At the same time, imaging algorithms processing airborne and space-borne echo data will overlook the attenuation, so normal algorithms have deficiency in processing echo under such condition. Aiming at this specific problem, an echo model considering the attenuation is given at first; and a simulated echo is processed using Range Migration Algorithm. Then, to make up the deficiency of RMA under this specific situation, a method based on confocal imaging theory is given and corresponding simulation result are presented. Finally, the confocal imaging method is validated via experiment of Ground-based SAR system.

Ground-based SAR has become an important remote sensing technology means for deformation monitoring in recent years. However, in order to achieve higher efficiency data acquisition and wider observation, arc antenna array technology is applied to ground-based SAR. In this paper, a polar format imaging algorithm for arc antenna array ground-based SAR is proposed. Firstly, a brief background on ground-based SAR and arc antenna array are provided. Then, the signal model and imaging algorithm of arc antenna array ground based-SAR are introduced. Finally, simulation result is presented.

Snapshot radar is microwave imaging technique based on antenna array signal processing, which can realize both of spatial resolution and temporal resolution of the observed scene. It has the characteristics of all-day, all-weather and fast imaging, therefore, it has wide application prospect in helicopter navigation, traffic monitoring, bridge building deformation detection and other fields. In this paper, distributed compression sensing signal processing technology is applied to snapshot imaging radar for moving target detection, and imaging model and method are deduced. Then, snapshot radar sequence experimental images focused via traditional algorithm and distributed compression sensing algorithm are analyzed, which shows that the algorithm of this paper requires only one fifth of echo data compared with the traditional algorithm.
