Energy-Balanced Scheme Based Unequal Density of Backbone for Wireless Sensor Networks Under Coal Mine

Peng Ren; Qian Jian-sheng; Sun Yanjing; Jiang Haifeng; Lu Zhao-lin

In order to solve uneven data throughput phenomenon for wireless sensor networks under coal mine, which cause “hot spots” problem, energy-efficient uneven clustering scheme based on the energy and distribution density of cluster heads ( UCS-ED ) is proposed, which formed by many existing routing protocols used in wireless sensor networks. In the cluster heads election phase it put the energy and distribution density as two elements to join the election, form an uneven density of backbone around the Sink. Simulation results show that UCS-ED outperform LEACH and HEED in balancing energy consumption and prolonging the network lifetime.

Self-similarity analysis of Coal or Rock Electromagnetic Emission signal

Lu Nannan; Qian Jian-sheng; Zhao Zhikai; Zhang Liqin; Lu Jin

Coal or Rock Electromagnetic Emission is a new perspective of predicting rock burst, but most present researches have been investigated into physical properties. This paper analyzes coal or rock electromagnetic emission (Coal or Rock EME) with self-similarity by rescaled range method from fractal characteristic and validates the feasibility and applicability of prediction model based on chaos theory. According to EME signal from two sides of Railway Lane and Transportation Lane from Dongtan coal mine respectively, we compute hurst exponent and fractal dimension D, and verify hurst exponent by the standard of S. Our experiments in this domain show that the signal has significant statistical self-similarity. Consequently, we conclude that Coal or Rock EME has a favorable fractal feature. Moreover, we can utilize non-linear method to make prediction further.

Analysis of the Radiation Mode of the Leaky Coaxial Cable with Vertical Slots

Qian Jian-sheng; Yang Chen; Hu Qianqian; Zhou Liujun

Starting from the Floquet theorem, the radiation mode of leaky coaxial cable is studied detailedly in this article, the existing condition of the radiation mode is given, the work frequency band of the radiation direction is analyzed and the radiation direction mode under each radiation mode is discussed. To manifest the leaky cable’s each radiation mode intuitively, some concrete parameter is designed in the paper. By using the matlab software simulation, the field pattern and radiation direction pattern are emulated in this paper.

Research on image denoising new method based on curvelet transform

Li Dan; Qian Jian-sheng

Wavelet transform only has spot singularity but curvelet transform has advantage of multi-scale singularity in each direction. After analyzing the method of image denoising by curvelet transform based on USFFT, the paper puts forward a new method WCSC, which uses wrapping and cycle-spinning combined curvelet transform to improve existing algorithm. According to the simulated experiment, the results of the denoised pictures show that the improved algorithm has reduced the Pseudo-Gibbs phenomena, can reserve more detail information, texture of images and get higher seeing impression and PSNR value under the noise standard deviation.

Study on the effect of route buffer on TCP congestion control and its improvement

Huang Yuanjiang; Liu Qiong; Cheng Deqiang; Qian Jian-sheng

After analyzing the rule of TCP congestion window protocol based on AIMD, the paper deduces the requisite route buffer and queuing delay of standard TCP and N-TCP when link reaches 100% utilization rate, and discusses the effect to the two achieving throughputs (bandwidth utilization) when the router buffer changes. Theoretical analysis and simulation show that, with the router buffer decreasing and other conditions unchanged, TCP Renos throughput reduces significantly; However N-TCP maintains a high utilization still; it is superior to TCP Reno in adaptability and stability to the variety of router buffer obviously.

TCP flow traffic self-similar analysis and modeling

Xu Dong; Qian Jian-sheng

In this paper we introduced TCP flow and its characters. We get a TCP flow set from a network data trace, and calculate the Hurst parameter of flow inter arrival time, flow length and flow life, then simulate a real flow traffic through fractal-based Neyman-Scott point process. Analysis showed that this point process can describe a real traffic on flow level better. This result can be further researched in TCP bandwidth estimate and end to end congestion control.

Intelligent Prediction System of Coal-Gas Outburst Based on Evolutionary Neural Nets

Sun Yanjing; Qian Jian-sheng; Song Jinling

The novel coal-gas dangerous-level prediction model established has advantages of the EA and BP neural nets, and overcomes the shortcomings of misreport and missing-report of others. This approach can accurately capture the complicated relationships among feature values of coal-gas outbursts and dangerous circumstances. We considered the characteristic of coal-gas outburst carefully, combining with the raw data of coal-gas monitor system in the Daping colliery and the 10th colliery of Pingdingshan Company as well as real-time samples of accidents, and selected pattern sets to train the proposed model and generate the corresponding rules for prediction. Results show that the ENN has better performance than the ANN or the traditional method used individually, and enhances the practical techniques for prediction of coal and gas in coal mine to guarantee safety.
