Catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol over porous g-C 3 N 4 confinement Ag and Au nanoparticles catalysts

Ag@pg-C3N4 and Au@pg-C3N4 catalysts were synthesized based on the confinement effect of porous g-C3N4. X-ray diffraction, N2 physisorption isotherms, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to characterize the nanomaterials. All the catalysts presented high catalytic activity in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol. The 10 wt% Au@pg-C3N4 displayed a pseudo-first order kinetics of 2.2601 min−1, which was proved to be the most prominent one among all the obtained catalysts.
