Toward Automatic Review of Building Energy Efficiency Based on Building Information Modeling

Building energy consumption increases with the acceleration process of urban constructions. The city faces the problem of energy shortage, which leads to the building energy efficiency becoming an urgent need for the global environment. BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology has been widely used in the construction industry. The current building energy consumption calculation depending on that the BIM model is imported to different energy consumption software for energy consumption analysis. There are few methods to review building energy efficiency requirements automatically. In view of this, this paper discusses the method of review of building energy consumption in Revit platform. The feasibility of the method is proved through an office building construction. The method can automatically review whether design results of the building meet the building energy efficiency requirements in the design process and can shorten the review time.

Toward Automatic Calculation of Construction Quantity Based on Building Information Modeling

The application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology in practical engineering becomes more and more frequent. The current research on quantity calculation based on BIM discusses the cost estimation of the building projects. There are few methods that can query construction quantity during the design process which facilitates the designer to modify the relevant data at any time. In view of the present situation, this paper describes a calculation construction method on Revit platform, which is one of currently the most popular BIM modeling platform. The effectiveness and disadvantages of the approach are analyzed through a practical engineering example. With this method, designers can get real-time quantity in the design process in any time, and the design results can be checked and updated automatically based on statistics result of engineering quantity when necessary.

Research on Identification of Comprehensive Pipeline Headroom in Certain Area

The comprehensive pipeline is a kind of important facilities and equipment and the key to normal operation in metro station, and the certain design requirement of various pipelines’ headroom in specific spatial region need to be met. As a technology centralized upon information and based on three-dimensional mode, BIM technology can express three-dimensional model of metro comprehensive pipeline imaginatively, provide the spatial topological relations among pipelines and relevant detecting calculations. In this paper, the necessity of identification of headroom of metro comprehensive pipeline is deeply analyzed, and then the article designs identification algorithms of headroom of metro comprehensive pipeline according to BIM technology. This algorithm can detect the pipelines which not meet the design requirements of headroom on BIM platform efficiently, thus we can improve design efficiency and quality and liberate labors so that designers can be engaged in more complex design work

Research on Collision of Metro Comprehensive Pipeline

As an important urban rail transit, the metro has become one of the standards to measure whether the city belongs to modern internationalized destinations or not. Though the space of subway station is relatively small, the metro comprehensive pipeline is an important part of the subway station and includes a huge variety and quantity. During the design process of metro comprehensive pipelines, pipeline collision happens frequently. On Three-Dimensional design platform based on BIM technology, pipeline design has already been mature. This paper puts forward adjustment algorithms about metro comprehensive pipeline collision and they are both flexible and easy to realize and adapt to any Three-Dimensional platform based on BIM technology
